We’ll get a compensatory pick in 2020 after he leaves in 2019. Meanwhile we will need a swing tackle - a very very important position.

If Nsekhe works well at guard this year then that’s gravy in my mind. I still expect the Skins to make a move at G somehow, independent of this Christian pick. I am happy to have depth at one of the most important positions on the field.
You can never have enough tackles, plus he looks pretty athletic. I bet they look at him at Guard too. Good pick

I don't see any guards for our next pick, nor a decent TE. Don't be surprised if we get a rb or wr sitiational talent that can play special teams too. DT or cb or safety may be possible. It's really a crap shoot now.

Pockets straight Portis?

A hard pass on that. I'd rather Santana Moss take him under his wings than Portis. Hopefully we won't have to worry about it. Maybe that slight fall will put a chip on his shoulder. We'll know soon enough.

Wouldn't our OL we picked up in the 3rd be playing guard? I imagine he will since we've already got bookends at LT/RT.

I thought of same thing but I don't think we can expect him to match Portis's blocking style; he was mean to defenders and I don't see Guice being that although I love his running style, based on youtube highlights of course..

I'm intrigued by this pick and I agree with you about being prepared for future so I like this move.

And for those guys who talked about going BPA vs need; maybe I should have been more clear with that statement, there needs to be balance of course although, imo it all depends on how you rank that player vs other player. Let's say you value one LB highly - i.e., 2nd round talent available in 3rd round vs a guard who is ranked as 3rd or below round talent - you have to go with LB because there's a better chance of getting above average player at those positions which are safe only for next 1 or 2 years just like our DB positions. If latter player rank closely to our next best player available then it would make more sense if we go with player that can fill in our needs.

Someone's got to. We have like 4 tackes for 2 spots and a center and a guard.

We may want to consider a dt tommorow to have an awesome dline, even if it is heart attack Hurst

The Bills are going to be tough, great draft so far for them.

Not a fan of Allen, he's so bad accuracy wise

If the Redskins want to win this draft, take a chance tomorrow if he's available.

I wanted him in the first, when u watch film on him it's ridiculous. He's a monster. Another good pick could be S Griffin, yes he is handicapped but that hasnt slowed him down he's another playmaker on D.

Re: Day 2 thread: rounds 2-3

The real question is why brandon scherff is playing right guard. We drafted him 5th overall thinking he could play tackle. If he’s so good, he should atleast be on the left side.

Re: Day 2 thread: rounds 2-3

Good shot 3 decent CB's tomorrow. Hill, Nelson, Averett. Then there's Hurst, but we don't need him at dt. Crosby is a RT but might be converable to G, but that may be iffy. I really think one of those 3 CB's should be the choice if available after 9 picks.
