Re: Around the NFL week 10
If there was one defensive player I would sign if he became a FA, it would be Tamba Hali. If that guy played on a good team people would speak about him as they do about Demarcus Ware.

I swear Byron Leftwich is a full size version of Gary Coleman.

Some teams get all the breaks with penalties.

What??
He's available? Or are you saying after the season? Edit: Nevermind, saw that he was cut per PFT. I say pick him up redskins. NOTHING TO LOSE!

Re: Around the NFL week 10
Why would we want a 4-3 DE?
If anything, they should take a look at Stanford Routt, but at this point we need more safety help than anything else.

And Stanford Routt is one of the top 5 Worst CBs in the league, according to pro football focus. What in terms of position, Ray Edwards is a better DE than what Stanford Routt is to CBs.

While there might be players out there that can easily switch between one scheme and the other, I just think it is a bit silly to suggest the acquisition of a player from a defensive scheme that is not ours. That's like me suggesting for us to get a 350-lb tackle for our zone blocking o-line.

scheme isn't everything. if he can get to the QB, try it, cause we can't.

You mean below-average passing ability, criminal and immoral activities that now only hurt his team by taking himself off the field, but taking himself our of society while in a prison cell for a while? Or do you mean the drug offenses and shooting the middle finger to fans? He's been a scumbag on and off the field and yes, he's a gifted athlete in terms of speed, he's been a mediocre quarterback at best. He's managed a few great games in his career, just like Rex Grossman. His Commissioner-mandated apology tour doesn't make up for what he has done. If I never have to watch him play again, I'll be happy.

Re: Around the NFL week 10
In terms of talent, as NC said, he had one fluke year and was always a gimmick QB and nothing more. He helped the Falcons win a few games but he has never been more than a poor man's Randall Cunningham.
While I wouldn't wish injury on the most despicable of players, I am hopeful that I will never have to watch him on a football field again. [Not sure if I ever said what my solution to his off-field the field issues was: Douse him in A-1 sauce and put him in the ring with his dogs for an hour. After that, debt paid.]

Still afraid to throw the ball - even with man coverage on Marshall down field. Chuck the ball to him man! I was thoroughly enjoying watching JC in that game - because he wasnt wearing the b&g.
