If Gibbs yanks the playbook out of Saunders hands!
I understand though, at least he's practicing some new formations though.

Good riddance to Ladell Betts. He had 5 seasons to prove himself and there is no room for mediocrity. Without Portis we have no play action pass. Nobody is going to fear Betts, Sellers, or Cartwrights running.

They are taking turns getting man-handled.

Hahahahahahaha - this game brings back memories of the 36-0 bone up the a$$ we took from the Giants the Sunday after Mara passed away.

Pre-season means nothing, but you can learn a lot from it too. For one, it shows that our D is very ordinary without Griffin in the middle.

Agreed. The KISS theory. Keep it simple stupid. Plus if we aren't gonna run our "offense", at least work on some timing routes!

Everybody on the line is getting beaten ... bad. Jansen got smoked by Mike Vrabel for a sack. No scheming, no complicated blitzes, just man on man, technique vs. technique.

Not looking good by the first teamers at all.

Three and out to start the 2nd half. Pitiful. Whatever the coaches said at in the locker room had very little effect.

Re: Redskins at Patriots Game Thread 8/26/06

I hate how we always have an off-season memory loss of how to play together with all the changes being done. Its like J-E-L-L-O before it it is solid... not ready or useable... and it would burn just trying injest it.

Let's see if there is any pressure by the D-line on whoever is quarterback for the Pats.

Have we seen anything from Andre Carter yet? Has he been credited with so much as a hurry?

I've got a feelin Gibbs got Duck to help Cambell in his 1st starting season. Better run game, easier for young QB. I am a Brunell fan, but it's getting harder and harder.

Re: Redskins at Patriots Game Thread 8/26/06

What in the hell is going on? I think this vanilla offense shit has been a smoke screen for an overly complexed playbook that ignores the fundamental mission of an offense. It seems all of the running plays are up the middle. Where are the pitch outs?
