Well of course he is. Wentz is gone and Taylor is a free agent. There's no one else on the roster. He's the off season starter by default.

Stromm is on the roster, but I wouldn't rate him higher than 3rd string.

I'd say naming him #1 at this point more about making CW and TH positions clear (release and at best #2 if re-signed), thus setting up off-season plans, and simple common sense from RR knowing if the team is sold, at best he's a lame duck and unlikely able to shell out for another high price trade/FA. If nothing else it saves RR fielding dumb "who is the #1 QB on the roster going into the off-season' questions!

There are other things that need to be fixed. But a good or bad offseason is only determined by 1 thing:

Snyder sells = Great offseason

Snyder doesn't sell = We're fucked

Shurmur has had success as an OC, but I feel like he is the dinosaur retread that we don’t want.

Charles London

47 years old

Wiki says hes worked under Bill Obrien (Texans) and Nagy (Bears) as running backs coach, Dave Raggone was his OC in Hotlanta and he did a bid with Gruden here in DC.

Played college ball at Duke, mostly bench warmer.

Coaching in some capacity in the NFL and Penn State since 2007.

We just had a young OC and it didn't work out. Not all on him, but still.

I just want someone at OC that can adapt to what we have and help Sam grow if he's indeed our QB1.

Josh McDaniels is "young" and he has driven two franchises to the ground.

I'm just encouraged that they're looking outside of the Ron familiarity tree. Indicates a willingness to accept new ideas, casting a wider net.

If they end up promoting Zampese I'll be dismayed.

I like that as well. Although to be honest, a lot of coaches within Ron's coaching tree are in Buffalo and with the Giants, two teams that have been successful this year and are in the playoffs.

Commanders are set to interview their quarterbacks coach, Ken Zampese, for the offensive coordinator job today, per source. Falcons QBs coach Charles London should be later in the week.

LOL I thought Ron wanted outside of the organization... That dude is lost

With one NFL game under his belt, doubting him is 100% the normal reaction. I don't care if he was the first overall pick, he hasn't proven anything yet.

Sooner or later they were likely to interview Zampese, just makes sense to have an in-house candidate ready to go as a fall back. The focus is still on bringing someone in.

Exactly folks are just getting on the Trevor Lawrence bus now.

I hope SH is a hall of famer!

In reality we need to see more bodies of work.
