Re: QB or BPA for our #1 Draft Pick - 2020
Let’s see McLaurin, Harmon, Sims, Martin, Moreland, Haskins, haven’t done anything or shown promise?

And FWIW I doubt Kerrigan has much trade value. He is coming off a mediocre season and has a contract worth almost $12 million. |

Re: QB or BPA for our #1 Draft Pick - 2020
The talent level between the worse teams and best teams is not as big as you think. I will say that the QB is the one position that has to be good for team to succeed.. however the COACHES and schemes and preparation have a lot to do with success.. if I’m wrong then why do some teams regardless of injuries and players getting older etc are still able to win ... this team has players but has totally been mismanaged... we made bad FA moves .. getting rid of proven players and end up paying more for less production.. to continue to rely on injury prone players is crazy ... this team under the right leadership certainly has the chance to compete if not win this division .. It all starts next week after Dallas .. we will see then

Chase Young has to be the pick, this team has needed a top tier Pass rusher for years and he's sitting there at 2? U have to take him

Re: QB or BPA for our #1 Draft Pick - 2020
Yes, I know but someone in the front office signed him as a FA after the draft, so I count free agents as the players drafted. Same shit!

Re: QB or BPA for our #1 Draft Pick - 2020
I am still trading down, too many holes to fill and the #2 pick over all is very valuable. Taking a WR at #2 would not be as wise move. Other than needing a tight end the receiving corps looks to have promise.

I hope we don't, but it wouldn't be surprised if we beat the cowboys and mess up the second pick

Re: QB or BPA for our #1 Draft Pick - 2020
Take Chase Young and gain a superstar at a key position for a decade or more. You gain extra draft picks by trading Trent Williams and Kerrigan. TW gets you the second rounder we lack and Kerrigan gets a fourth rounder.
If we have another outstanding draft like last year, we’ll do well -especially if draft guru Kyle Smith is our GM. Also, by dumping all of our perennial injured FA, we’ll have $80-90 mill in cap space to draft an excellent TE and for defensive players. IF Snyder fires BA, and can entice a premiere HC (and DC) and keep Kyle Smith in the draft room, then this team has a LOT of POTENTIAL. Our 2019 draft class is outstanding. Haskins has shown his potential, even with a patch-work OL and crappy TE. If a potential HC can look PAST our 3 win season, we have a lot that a coach would want. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: QB or BPA for our #1 Draft Pick - 2020
Young or Thomas would be excellent choice for Redskins although if there's an opportunity to gain a king's ransom by trading away our pick, we must consider it.. For those people who want Young - look at Bears and Texans, they both have a superstar in Mack and Watt (and Clowney before this year) and yet those players couldn't do enough to bring the teams to playoffs. Or at least, not on a regular basis..
Redskins have a lot of needs other than Dline and QB. If we can get a king's ransom for our pick, I would be really tempted to accept it. I suppose it also depends on which team we are trading with. If it is a team that is likely to be average team or worse next year then I would go for it. |
