Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread

Yeah I was able to get Harry Douglas off waivers in my league too, hopefully between him or Keenan Allen one of them will step up and replace what I was getting from Randall Cobb. I also picked up Mike James (TB's new starting rb) off waivers as well, I'm not sure how good he's going to be but I'm just going to stash him on my bench until I figure out if he's worth keeping or not.

I picked up Douglas in one league and Boykin in another. Boykin had a pretty big day so with both Cobb and Jones out I figure Boykin and Nelson have to step up.

My dilemma this week is who to start at TE: Gronk or Reed

I'm surprised Reed is even making this a dilemma. I have him on my bench but I'm not sure I want to bench Vernon Davis for him. I'm seriously considering it though because Davis hasn't been that consistent.

Its kinda coupled back to the Brady problem. He hasn't thrown a TD in 3 games. Gronk will definitely get yards, but it almost voids out since Brady isn't doing anything. Reed has been a favorite target of RG3s and I think he can get it done.

I'm gonna roll with Gronk this week though because they're playing Miami and they -should- kill them but I thought that about the Jets game too.

That's the issue with Brady these days. He is not putting up huge passing yardage totals, which would be OK if he was throwing 2-3 TD passes per game. BUT, he is not scoring either, so even a guy as a bad as Terrell Pryor is a better option because of the rushing yards sprinkled in.

The problem last week was that I was watching the Bears@Redskins game live, but switching over to the Jets/Pats game and everytime I did the Jets were on the field "slow playing" the way they do and keeping Brady off the field.

I'll probably regret it, but I'm benching Brady this week. Heck If I could find a trading partner, I would unload him.

Lol just as soon as I thought about benching Vernon Davis I saw that the 49ers are playing the Jags and I'm like, yeah.... no. Sorry Jordan Reed, maybe next week.

LMAO, is Jason Campbell an upgrade over Weeden? I don't think so. We are at that point in the season where desperate teams do desperate things. Campbell for Weeden, and Freeman for Ponder and Cassell.

If Vick comes back this week and gets hurt or fumbles or throws a bunch of picks will Matt Barkley play next week?

I also read that Freeman has "concussion like symptoms" and Ponder will likely play this Sunday. Does Freeman actually have a concussion? or did Leslie Frazier just get a concussion watching him play Monday night!

Vikes had no business playing Freeman so soon. Dumb move on their part.

Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread

Soneone wants to trade me AJ Green and Ryan Mathews for my Knowshon Moreno and Justin Blackmon,

I want to say "no way" but can't completely dismiss it in my mind.

Moreno has been a STUD, 8 TDs so far and it's a PPR too. Mathews is a bum, right?

I'm rolling in this league with a cash prize at the end so I don't want to mess things up.

My only thought is if Blackmon can be trusted for the rest of the year.

He also offered another one, AJ Green and Mathews for Moreno and Alshon Jeffery.

I just can't see myself benefitting from swapping out Moreno for Mathews. My other starting RB is Jamal Charles, so I currently have 2 stud RBs.

Would you decline also?

I heard concussion and Ponder is only starting this week. Freeman will be back next week.

I was surprised they started him so soon too...it's Josh Freeman, not a clear #1 QB. The guy isn't that good, so why throw him into a game when he doesn't even know the playbook.

I bet they could have beaten the Giants if they played Ponder.

Should I go with Harry Douglas vs. Arizona or Justin Blackmon vs. San Fran?
