Re: Redskins hire offensive consultant
Question. When Smith came over from Tenn. Did they run the WCO? What made him qualified to be an OC? I mean seriously. Maybe this guy is the problem. He seems stubborn. Blache at least made some adjustments. Now the defense is playing better. If everyone executed -- all the teams would be Superbowl contenders. That's not the point. You put your players in a position to be successful. Not be so prideful you expect everything you draw up will work. He has mainly worked as a running back coach his whole career. How does our running game look. I am beginning to not like this guy. We need to execute. But like running sweeps to the left. That's not us. We ran up the middle on the goal line. Smith might be a liability to Zorn. Zorn seems a little more grounded and he is still a young coach. But Smith seems like he has his head up his ass IMO.

Re: Redskins hire offensive consultant
No I don't have a link. I think it was on Redskins Nation with Larry Michael that I saw it. Sherm said he spent the first night watching film with Zorn. What he saw was, different players making mistakes. It wasn't any one player but different players at different times. One play it would be a lineman missing a block, the next play a receiver doing something wrong and the next play a RB messing up. He said this bogs down the offense.

Re: Redskins hire offensive consultant
Ehhhhh, I think another guy looking at the problem and giving his opinions will just have the opposite of the desired effect. It will make the game and the execution way too cerebral and that in turn will bog down the offense. Players worrying about executing the plays correctly instead of just going out, playing well and trusting in their skills. Execution could see a drastic dropoff, which I know, seems impossible with our play this far, but I could definitely see it. Nothing good will come from this guy coming here.

Re: Redskins hire offensive consultant
Yeah...I remember feeling relieved because they said that they would have the cap space or interest to go after Haynesworth. That was said probably 2 or 3 weeks before free agency started.
Then the story about Snyder dining with Haynesworth's agent broke and the next thing you know we're introducing Haynesworth at Redskins Park. Our front office definitely said that they were not focused on high priced free agents coming into this past offseason though.

Re: Redskins hire offensive consultant
The Washington Examiner says that Snyder is really interested in John Gruden. I'd rather have someone else, but not Zorn, even if he combed his hair.
