Re: Around the NFL - FA tampering/start
For anyone who used to like Steven Sims - I just learned that he resigned with Texans recently. I thought he was out of league since the last few years the entire time.

Did anyone see that the Chiefs got fucking Hollywood Brown?
That’s gonna be a big problem

Re: Around the NFL - FA tampering/start
Not sure why FS Justin Simmons is still available in the FA market?
Not sure how much $ he is asking for but maybe he can be recruited by our popular new coaching staff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOzXFvn4aAA 6’2” 202 pounds Prefect size and play. Leads all current NFL current players with 30 interceptions and he is 30 years old. He would solidify our defense instantly. Last edited by Defensewins; 04-02-2024 at 09:01 PM. |

I disagree this is true, and definitely with safeties, but that seems to be the case based on how the market is playing out. It doesn't make sense to me, it's obviously a passing league, but somehow either of us could possibly start at safety for us.

Re: Around the NFL - FA tampering/start
You're not wrong and it doesn't make sense. You'd think it was highly imperative for a defence to have a FS that could cover side-line to side-line and get you picks. SS seems more of a hybrid position across the league, with so many nickel and dime schemes in use, but even then you want a guy who can cover, particularly TE's. Are we maybe missing a new Ed Reed/Sean Taylor equivalent to reset the standard/market?

@AdamSchefter
Blockbuster: Bills are finalizing a trade to send four-time Pro-Bowl WR Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans for draft-pick compensation, sources tell ESPN. I'm glad he's not going to the Cowpukes. And good for the Texans and CJ Stroud.

Yeah I suppose that is possible. After all, no one ever thought Bills wld trade Diggs away.

Re: Around the NFL - FA tampering/start
rapsheet
Sources: The Lions have a deal for one of the top young talents, agreeing on an extension for WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. He gets 4 years and more than $120M with $77M guaranteed. With the NFL Draft in Detroit, the Lions have given their city plenty of reasons to be psyched about their football team. Here is another. Amon-Ra St Brown was one of their best picks in recent years. Now rewarded with a massive deal

Re: Around the NFL - FA tampering/start
Zay Jones released by the Jags. He'd be our #3 (and maybe #2 if Dotson continues his regression) if the Redskins pick him up.
