Yeah, its fairly rare I hit any chain restaurants up. Cracker Barrel Ive been to probably twice in last 10 years. One chain that gets laughed at but I think is probably the best is Olive garden. Salad and sticks are awesome and the food is decent.

Im not a big breakfast eater but Panera Bread is money. Bagels, pastries and their egg soufflés are all amazing. But PB is a rip off outside of breakfast.

95% of the time if I eat breakfast out especially on a road trip I will go to Denny's and get an omelette with hash browns. I can eat the same thing over and over again forever. Right now at home 95% of the time it is a cheese omelette with fresh jalapenos cooked into the egg and pickled jalapenos inside with hot salsa dumped on top.

Howard Johnson has been gone from the DC/MD/VA area for about 35 years.

I lived in Southern California when the Howard Johnson's restaurants started disappearing, there was still one in Riverside Ca when I lived there in the mid 90's.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

Leased a Chevy and returned it in October. GM said I'd receive a final invoice within 45 days. Never got it. Today I get a Chase Credit Journey alert in my email that I now have a delinquent account on my credit score. Went online and this is not a rarity. Will never be getting a GM again. Now I have to try to call them Monday and get them to reverse it, otherwise, I'm going to have to file a dispute thru one of the credit agencies. People said their score got dinged like 75-100 points. So messed up!! Never called or sent an email or anything either. Shady bastards.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

Waking up and reaching over for your phone and its 6:59 am .. your daily alarm is set for 7.

Something about that sequence that grinds my gears. Like it forces my brain into critical decision making 10 seconds into being semi awake.

Do I hurry to try and turn off my alarm before the loud ringing starts or do I just let it go off and have to listen to the loud ringing alarm?

Either way, 10 seconds into your morning you have to pick the lesser of two evils - (1) going quickly through a series of actions in turning your alarm off before the bomb explodes in your face .. or (2) just laying there tortured not knowing when your head will be filled with ringing alarm sounds, the only thing you do know is its coming.

The best? When you wake up early, go to check the phone assuming it will say some bullshit like 6:59 but instead its only like 5:43 and you my friend get like a super extended snooze bar break.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

People who seem to pour on cologne or perfume. Yesterday a lady was in my office two minutes and my god I couldn't even breath. Today some guy came in and it was so bad I swear I could taste what he was wearing. Both of them stunk up a 1600 sq ft office in a matter of minutes. Thank god I have windows I can open.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

So I bought a new coffee table that has a raised top so when I work from home it will be more practical with a laptop in the living room.

got this thing from amazon and holy shit the assembly required was like putting together a desk. Now I have tools and know my way around...but this assembly took almost 3 hours. So that was grinding but annoyingly the guide...20 steps in all....would have these little motivational sayings every other page like “better do it now than wait til later” or “finally starting to look like something”...yada f$ckin yada. I wanted to return the F8ck,ckin thing just based on these f8xkin quotes. So the company knows their assembly is a bitch and they are gonna needle you with the xtra

I refuse to order furniture that requires assembly these days. Zero patience for it.

Neighbor kids.

Put out my sons lax goal in my yard. He goes to practice, the neighbors daughter and her bother are using it and ask him to wait.

Unbelievable.

These fuckers are literally the Adams family

Bro, my sister is going thru a divorce and she bought a new townhouse...so this past weekend she went up to Ikea to furnish it with new bullshit and asked me to go. I responded that why would I visit Dante sixth level of hell? Dale city ikea on a Saturday...that’s a hard stop. But did ask her to pick me up the Swedish meatballs.
