Re: 2022 Midterms thread
I like Beto but let's be honest other than a mayor of a blue city in Texas or congressman that is the ceiling for him in Texas. He is just not the right Democrat to push in that state. I'd say the same for Stacey Abrams. The only thing they offer is name recognition and let's be honest those people are probably voting for the letter anyways.

Re: 2022 Midterms thread
She hasn't lost yet (She is down by only 62 votes with 5% left to count) - She will probably win. Lake will be mine if she loses. Abrams is probably my favorite Dem loss.

You don’t think Beto has more blue votes in Texas than anyone ever before? I think the numbers would probably back that up. Lets face it there is no right dem to push in Texas. |

Re: 2022 Midterms thread
Long term, it will probably be better for the republican party if they only win a small minority in the house (and either a split or slight minority in the senate).
Then republicans can hopefully use these mid-term elections to get more people to push past Trump. Time will tell I guess.

I imagine Biden gets impeached on paper, House and Senate Rs pass a series of strategically timed symbolic bills that force Biden to veto things and make him look bad. Imagine no budgets get passed and everything is sequestration like with Obama Imagine there will be enough Rs to push Ukraine war funding to go through, allowing the Rand Paul and MJG of the Rs to vote no Next 2 years are going to be a horse and pony shit show, political grand standing and running to the media to get out the next salacious headline ... with nothing actually being accomplished. |

They will not take the senate. However I do have some faith in the losses of a majority of the maga candidates that both sides will work together in some form or fashion regardless of who controls what. |

Re: 2022 Midterms thread
Boebert — a right-wing Republican firebrand who has stoked controversy by backing Capitol rioters and embracing QAnon conspiracy theories — is currently holding a slim lead in her bid for reelection in Colorado's 3rd Congressional District.
According to Colorado's state election results as of 12:25 p.m. ET, Boebert was maintaining a 386-vote lead over Frisch, a businessman and former city councilman. Results showed that Boebert secured 157,743 votes, or 50.06%, as opposed to Frisch's 157,357 votes, or 49.94%. Colorado state law allows for an automatic recount if the two candidates finish with a lead that's less than 0.5% of the total vote. https://www.yahoo.com/news/gop-rep-l...154343996.html Seems Trump will have 2 mouth pieces in the House |
