No, we don't. While I would prefer just about anyone over Bruce Allen, Riddick has not done anything to indicate he's capable of being a GM. There are GM openings every offseason... yet I can only recall the Giants as interviewing him. And he evidently didn't do very well because they ended up giving Dave Gettleman the job.

Liked Haskins, likes O'Connell...crushed Jay for playing Haskins unprepared.

Re: Who will be the next coach of the Redskins and does it even freakin matter?
Riddick - honestly dont know too much about him but my inner reptile doesnt like him. I assume Bruce was the one who was feeding national media regarding Jay not wanting Haskins and how Jay is being "vindictive" for not giving him reps with the 1s and how it was never really an open competition for QB in the PS.
I also assume Riddick was the main national media guy that was spewing Bruce's poison the most, saying Jay had an agenda by not starting him .. then Jay had an agenda by putting him in the NYG game. Double assumption and hot take by me .... why is Riddick now not crushing Callahan for not starting Haskins and saying he might not start all year? Certainly the war drum beat to start Haskins and end "Jay's agenda" should be louder after Jay had been fired? |

Why would Bruce be feeding Riddick info when he could be in line to take his job?

Alright I got it. Its much more complicated than that. Bruce knew that Dan was not happy about Haskins not getting the red carpet treatment by Jay so Bruce went about trying to sabotage Jay and get him an early termination. Who does Bruce go to? Who does he know in the national media with a connection to the Skins that would do all of his evil bidding? Tito Leibowitz, he was a small time ... er Louis Riddick, a small time team personnel guy who was itching for a GM job and Bruce knew would say or do anything he asked. Bruce knows he needs to bring in a GM type this offseason so who better than the lackey himself, Louis Riddick. Someone Bruce wont have to worry about starting a coup against him, Louis Riddick is a company man. ![]() |

I'm more of the thought that Riddick was speaking out on his own and basically saying hey Dan, I see the problems you're having, I know how to fix them, call me

O’Connell. His playcalling is getting better and better, especially when not interfered with by Callahan and before that Gruden.
Callahan is showing how we will go 8-40 win-loss from 2020-2022 as he plays caveman football. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's so painfully obvious Riddick has an agenda and that is why I don't want him. And it would be such a Dan Snyder hire to bring him in here. Bring in someone who likes the QB that Bruce and I picked.

Whoever they bring ion as GM must run the show without Lil Danny and Brucey telling him who to draft or trade or sign free agent...
The GM should hire the coach but I am curious how O'Connell would work out... Last edited by VTSkins1961; 10-26-2019 at 11:37 PM. Reason: adding more input |

Re: Who will be the next coach of the Redskins and does it even freakin matter?
This morning two more Redskins names were thrown out for possible trades. Ian Rapoport mentions that Josh Norman is being shopped, something that Albert Breer also reported a few days ago. That trade would not bring back much in return due to Norman’s age and contract.
The new name in the trade market is Ryan Kerrigan. Jason La Canfora reports that the Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, and others are interested in the Pro Bowl OLB. Kerrigan’s contract is up after next season, and he will be 32 next August. He is on pace for his worst statistical season since entering the league as a 1st round pick in 2011. La Canfora says it doesn’t sound like the Redskins are looking to move Kerrigan, despite the fact that they are 1-7, and need to rebuild under a new Head Coach next year. https://www.hogshaven.com/2019/10/27...-arent-selling ------------------------- The Redskins are one of two franchises, along with the Bengals, that are irritating other NFL teams with their unwillingness to listen to offers ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline. That's according to a new CBS report that was published Sunday. Washington and Cincinnati been receiving calls for a while now, yet so far "ownership has declined to even consider moving forward on them," Jason La Canfora writes. Those around the league are apparently quite annoyed by this, with one GM saying specifically of the Redskins, "It's not like you are dealing with a normal team." https://www.nbcsports.com/washington...trade-deadline _______________________________________ It wont matter who the new coach is if Bruce remains the GM and remains in a "win now" approach. I cant imagine they are offering anything more than like a 4th for Kerrigan but you have to trade him. He is going to count $11.75M against the cap next year, is slowing down and we have HEAVILY INVESTED on the D line and edge rushers. We have Ioannidis, Sweat and Ryan Anderson. Some of the D line $ needs to go to the O line. If the Skins let Scherff walk but keep Ryan Kerrigan on for a final meaningless year ... FUCK YOU BRUCE |

Fine, let them keep losing with the players they have. I hope they go 1-15 and have literally no one coming to the games except the other teams fans.

Re: Who will be the next coach of the Redskins and does it even freakin matter?
The incompetence of roster management is pathetic. Why are we keeping guys who are at the end of deals instead of rebuilding? We are not a player away. The lack of awareness with the organization is frustrating

If the skins don't trade some of these old players, then people should stop going to any games. This may make a clear statement to ownership. We need a lot of picks and these old guys are making to much money to sit on this team and not producing.
