Disconcerting Stat of the Day - During all 3 years as Cincy's OC, Gruden's offense has never ranked higher than the Shanahans.

Perhaps that is because their defense ranked higher than ours every year ( twice substantially higher).

When your winning games you don't never till throw up alot of stats. I'm sorry but if we traded places with the Bengals the post there years. Nobody would be complaining right now

Yes, but we did not obtain the entire Bengals coaching staff, just the part that wasn't better than what we already had. And then retained the worse part of ours.

Maybe you can't compare the two offenses as apples to apples. Dalton isn't exactly a top flight QB and that really makes or breaks an offense in today's NFL. I would be so quick to jump on conclusions about Gruden's worth.

I think to get to the playoffs WITH ANDY DALTON is quite an accomplishment.

Sure, AJ Green helps a lot but Cincy did not have much on offense outside of him. Green-Ellis is nothing special and Bernard looks promising but why couldn't he overtake BJGE?

I'd say our offense has at least as much, if not more talent than Cincy's.

The defense is the real problem now that Kyle's playcalling and Mike's clock management woes are out of town.

Can someone confirm that there is no Dan Snyder present during the press conference?

I'm watching it now, and the current shot just has Bruce and Jay.

If this is the case, that's a hell of a message.

And she only has an hour before he's introduced as the HC to try to talk some "sense" into him.

I realize everyone else probably knew this, but I didn't realize that the Florida Tuskers (of the UFL, where Haslett and Gruden worked together) was owned by Theisman.

Any word on who our special teams coordinator might be now that it seems we have HC, OC, and DC decided?

Take this for what's its worth but Chris Russell said he thinks it's going to be Bobby April special teams coach from the Raiders.

That wouldn't be such a bad thing. One thing the Raiders can do is play special teams
