Re: Skins vs Packers post game thread
After watching our team yesterday get totally embarrased by the Packers, I don't care if the Redskins can come back and win the division or not, they are not going to advance anywhere in the playoffs with this defense OR offense. If you have to go play a game at Green Bay or Seattle, you are not winning. Those two teams have the biggest home field advantage I have ever seen.

Than why play Robert? Kirk is more suited to run this offense. Heck trade Robert for 3 picks use that and the 36mil to replace aging and weak positions -RT,MLB, CB, and draft a Safety and lets do this. Did I just say that? I just want traditional football b/c Shanny ruined the best QB that ever happened to us. We have a read option OL that is too small to change and a QB unable to run either at the moment. We are caught transitioning and we have an idiot named Haslet who blitzes and blitzes and hides his head when nobody is there to cover. We need to stop the pass. Make teams run on us since our front 7 is our strength, at least scores could be kept lower and pray we cause fumbles. Quote:
It also defeats the purpose to be good at blocking when we stop running b/c we are losing by 30 points. He's over paid. Moss blocks, catches, and runs better routes. Morgan was brought in to catch passes. He has shown he is not a possession receiver and the skins offense can't execute passing unless RG is 100% healthy running around risking his neck. Football has loooooong been played straight up w/ no gimmicks. I don't care that the nfl is a touch league for defenses, this offense is straight out of college and clearly doesn't apply to any future for the skins the way it's been run. We can't go drafting picks for a 1 season miracle QB every year and certainly not take 3 of his best years of away from his game. |

All of the whining and negativity on this board is way out of line in view of how early it is in the season.

I agree, but I think it's always good to have depth. He might be making a bit much, but he's performed well when he's on the field.

The salary cap has nothing to do with how we played the first two games.

Where was Aldrick Robinson? I might have missed him but didn't hear his name, didn't see on the field, team didn't use him on a go routes unless RG3 was forced to dump off on those plays. Heck even Fred Davis seemed to be a no show. I saw him drop one pass. |

However that's not the case. The Redskins came out and actually didn't play at all until late 3rd quarter against the Eagles when the Eagles felt bad and started playing prevent defense. Yes they were tired by that point and up by 30 something points but they took their foot off the pedal. The Packers learned from what the Eagles did. Again the Redskins didn't show up to play and it wasn't until the 3rd quarter that they looked remotely decent but again only after the Packers backed off. I think if the Skins were competitive most of us would not have a problem with the losing, but they are not even showing up until the second half of two games so far. I almost wish they would scrimmage a college team an hour before the game and ride a bus over and play the actual game. Maybe then they would look a little better after having played a whole half prior to the game starting. |

Re: Skins vs Packers post game thread
I think that they are staying out of the intense monday morning quarterbacking going on here.
It's that, or they just don't understand that we are suffering from The Curse of Pat White. Every NFL team who has cut Pat White suffered a losing season the next year. Now it is our turn to be doomed.
