Huge meltdown of epic proportions last night by Rivers and Co. I'm with Smoot on the fact that I'm still amazed that Norv is still a HC. Dude should have been fired years ago along with AJ Smith.

Re: Around the NFL week 6 style

So that should answer the question, Can Peyton Manning do it like he used too?

Norv has to be part feline because as a head coach, the dude has nine lives! Great, great offensive coordinator, but barely a .500 head coach.

Re: Around the NFL week 6 style

Never liked Norv as a HC. Game looked like a rout so I watched the Skins beat the Vikes again. Sounds like I missed a pretty good game. But I saw a pretty awesome one too.

Former Redskin and all-around good guy Todd Bowles replacing Juan Castillo as Eagles' defensive coordinator

Eagles dismiss Juan Castillo and name Todd Bowles defensive coordinator.

2m Zach Berman Zach Berman ‏@ZBerm

Bowles has never an NFL D. coordinator, but was Dolphins interim coach last year. Went 2-1. Been a defensive coach in NFL since 2000.

4m Jason La Canfora Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora

Eagles announce firing of embattled coordinator Juan Castillo; Todd Bowles, the secondary coach, takes over. Bowles well respected
Man, at least Bowles is from the defensive side of the ball. (I know Castillo had defensive history). But this just reeks of face saving. Let's see if he benches Vick, then maybe you could believe it's an honest evaluation.

Re: Around the NFL week 6 style

I hate when this happens. I'm always happy when a former Redskin climbs the ladder....but how good do you want him to do for a rival?

Per FO's stats through Week 5, Eagles were 24th in offense, 28th in special teams ... and sixth in defense. FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | 2012 TEAM EFFICIENCY RATINGS
I didn't like Castillo as a DC (well I did while he was working for the Eagles), but honestly don't think this solves the deeper problems of theirs

He'll, that's who I wished was our DC. I'm all for a young guy a chance.
