Guilty most likely.

Actually, except for not being able to sleep, it was the perfect job for a college student. I'd have PLENTY of time to do all of my studying, school work and papers at work. Only the beginning and end of the shifts were busy and had work. The auditing part took me an hour, then there were just a few checkins at the beginning and checkouts at the end. In between, there was dead time, everyone was asleep. Plenty of crazy people and incidents to keep it fun too and I started drinking coffee at that job. Unlimited coffee. All night.

Yup I have been there many times but never as my full time job, always just to fill in. I HATED IT!

Off since Thursday and go back in tomorrow. However, had a network outage Sat that went from 4 to 11pm. **** you Spanning Tree Protocol. Least it's double the comp time for the holidays.

Re: What did you do at work today?

I remember someone in here (I think it was Dirtbag) mentioning how many consecutive days they've worked, so I felt like sharing. I'm entering a stretch run where I'm going to be working 19 straight days between 2 jobs. Basically looks like this:

I worked 6 days last week (including my birthday last Wednesday :/), Mon-Fri as the stock clerk at a Nissan dealership, and then on Sat. at my 2nd job doing beer & wine samples.

Now I have to work Mon-Fri this week, plus Sat & Sun, then next Mon-Fri, and the Sat & Sun after that, then the next Mon-Fri again before I get my next day off. I know I can do the work, but it's gonna be exhausting. Ordinarily I'd get Wed. July 4th off for my first job, but I'm working that day for my 2nd job lol. The only hard part about my second job is standing in the same spot on a concrete floor for 4 hours in my dress shoes, I mean handing out samples is easy work but it takes a toll on my feet, especially moreso because I'm on my feet a lot at my first job.

At least on the bright side, I'll be making a little bank.

Re: What did you do at work today?

Today Chuck wanted me to inspect 29 crates of glass from China.
I told him I would only check four.
He was unhappy.
I talked to my boss and he said four was fine.
Eat it, Chuck!

Re: What did you do at work today?

Put in my 2 weeks at the dog kennel and I'm going back to grooming dogs. Starting as a bather then HOPEFULLY working my way to a groomer, ideally by the end of the year. Even though I'll have 2 degrees, in this economy it can't hurt to have a trade. I know the groomer at the kennel I'm working at made damn near $70,000 on tips and commission and at the store I used to work at the groomer used to tell me if he pushed himself (booked himself daily) he could make almost $1000 in a week.

Sounds pretty alright to me.
