John Keim:
Washington cuts Cody Latimer. Not a surprise at all given his situation. Wanted to let league investigate but this was almost assuredly going to happen all along.

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
Apparently Haskins was good today and Logan Thomas has a great day catching two TD in red zone situations

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
Ryan Anderson played a lil linebacker today, maybe that door is still open?

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
Agree...but he’s their starting TE for sure. I haven’t heard a peep about Jeremy Sprinkle.

It’s all been about Baugh making some nice early practice plays at TE; with Thomas passing him the last couple days. I read Thomas had two TD passes yesterday or Saturday. As you said Sprinkle is doing nothing to impress. I see Thomas as a starter, with Baugh showing some talent. Let’s see is he can keep up the catches and be the Cinderella story of this training camp?! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Normally I’d agree with you, but without OTA’s, Preseason games, etc this is all we have! So each good play, catch or INT is magnified far more than a normal preseason practice.. Also, several positions were NOT SET before these practices. Players on one year contracts are also striving to get noticed. There are mighty battles for TE, S, WR#2, LT and even QB to name a few spots. So that one extra great play that we see may be what gets him play time in the first games! But I don't think we can get much valuable intel from day to day TC reporting. Coaches see way more and different things than us and reporters. Honestly I'm hooked and want to know as much as I can, but part of me knows we gotta accept we kinda have no clue at all until week 1.

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
Good experienced reporters and pundits have pretty much as good an eye for skills and techniques as a good coach. They can usually see the difference between a training camp hero and a true star. Its knowing who to listen to above the otherwise run of the mill feedback. I'm not sure who that would be myself currently. Anyone?

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
Him and JP seemed to have the hand on the pulse of the team. Keim I’ve noticed really gets quiets with rumors....I usually can guess which are true and false. If false he will usually tweet quickly untrue...if true or some level of truth, he is usually silent and waits for announcement before commented. So he is doing the right thing.
Ben Standing of the athletic is growing on me when it comes to analysis. Sheehan and Cooley analysis and opinion is worthy of consideration...They give good fan takes of team...

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
The Defense better be a legit unit because they'll be on the field a lot

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
I don't mind a little hyperbole about individual players in training camp because I enjoy the rampant optimism of being an NFL fan this time of year.

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
If there's anytime to be hopelessly optimistic it's right now. The reality of the season kicks in pretty quick lol.
