Re: Fresh Start Political Thread

From your view (literally anyone): How many people went into the capital building on January 6th?

I guess we've never had an "insurrection" before in my lifetime, so I don't even know how to define it.

IMO it wasn't an insurrection (feels like there needed to be way more people), it was just a group of dumbfucks being dumbfucks.

Then again - The actual number of people that went into the capital is different depending on source.

And before losing it, go back to when it happened, I don't play that shit. Fuck all of them. Never once said anything remotely supportive of that shit. So this is not meant for any kind of justification of how or why it took place.

I'm jaded as fuck. So I think the democrats (the party, not individual voters) are up-playing the importance of this thing to distract from any questions about the Biden administration.

Note - I could be wrong and don't take January 6th serious enough towards possible future actions.

This is more of a grind my gears type comment. But anyone that has to look down every .8 seconds to get their talking point right, grinds my gears.

That equates to I don't really give a fuck about what I'm talking about, this is my script, and whoever already agrees with me will do so and whoever doesn't still won't, but I still look very important.

Looks like I didn't miss anything while I was gone.

You know we sit here and we can argue until the end of time, meanwhile Putin sits back with a glass of his favorite wine laughing at our expense.

I went the longest time without ever noticing these threads on the left side.

I'm glad I did for the non football threads, but I've gained absolutely nothing from the political threads. But they're hard to stay away from once you open them. Pandora's box.

OK one of you (stated you were a Warpath poster) went over to my former stomping grounds (I'm banned there but I can still read posts), question did the out of control moderator, whom I won't name, ban you and if so for what violation? I saw a crap load of their rule violations directed at you but none from you.

Pretty obvious now why Trump
Was soooooo desperate to stay in office and let Barr protect him. But most of us knew that. Some thought he was desperate to keep America great and protect their civil liberties! LOL

Gotta admit I never understood why most Trumpers couldn't see that the order of Trump's values was Trump first , his money 2d, family 3rd, supporters 4th, and maybe country 5th (although that could be lower).

On the personal value's level he was the Republican's Clinton and politically he was the Republican's Obama.

Sadly some still won't and refuse to see it. I will say he was way worse than either of those two.

Yes I agree, was just pointing out that Clinton was another who placed himself first and politically Trump was as bad for the Republicans as Obama was for the Dems (ie ended up handing over the House, Senate and Presidency to the other party - although I think Trump did more lasting damage to the Republicans by destroying Reagan conservatism in favor or right wing populism).
