Things may get interesting if Penix is sitting there when we pick.

Watched that whole game last night. I'm a fan of his. His throwing motion is so interesting. But the ball always gets where it needs to be.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread

For weeks Ive been talking about it, and it is going to happen. We are going to be sitting at 3-4 in the draft and one of the big two quarterbacks going to be there along with one of the two big Tackles and it is going to be a decision I’m glad I’m not making. Sam not helping his case last couple weeks though ill tell you that.

He will 100 percent be sitting there. He is not going top 5. He isn’t going first round most likely. Hard pass. Especially in first or second round.

Penix has way too many injury problems. Dude has torn both knees already. If you can get him in the 2nd sure but not at 4 or 5

Not so fast, after the bye we will most likely be back down to 7th and I cannot see the Giants Bears or Jets winning anymore games to move us back up.

If they all lose they will have the same record. We lost head to head to two of them and will lose to the jets. Not sure how sos will play out but picking 3-4 is still right there in front of us. Bears play the Cards and the Browns. We are not sniffing another win. The Jets D will absolutely bury us.

SOS has priority over head to head and our SOS is higher than most everyone except Tennesee. Every time Dallas and Philly win it gets higher.

I know that it counts over head to head. That is so stupid. Anyway the Bears will win another game and the Jets will beat us.

Hoping maybe the Eagles rest everyone their last game against the Giants.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread

My perfect scenario is we get pick 3 and the #4 owner wants it for a QB. We trade down, get our new LT and an extra pick or 2. Unless Maye and Williams go 1 & 2, which is possible if Chicago and NE stay in top 2 places.

I doubt the Cards would trade up for a QB, and more likely to be competing for the top OT candidate (or Harrison?). Though it would be great if the Cards are at #4 and desperate to get Harrison...

Cards got an OT high last year so unlikely, though not impossible, they would go OT over WR Harrison Jr if they had the choice.

What do the Bears do with Fields? That's going to be very interesting

I don't think their current front office/staff drafted him, so if they could flip him for a second it totally makes sense to go QB, they have an extra 1st anyway so they can fix OL or WR with that pick.

As you say, very interesting
