Pass defense: 1st. Run defense: 33rd.

Seriously though, it's so refreshing to see us truly taking the BPA. Being real, I'm like, "WHEN ARE WE GONNA' TAKE A DT?!" but something about Billings must have given them serious pause. The good news is that suddenly our secondary should be a strength.

With the addition of Norman, Cravens and Fuller, our secondary is a position of strength and depth. I propose a "nickname" is needed for this secondary, "The Iron Dome", like the Israeli anti missile defense system.

Let's wait until they earn it. I am greatly encouraged, though.

So for rounds 4 5 and 6, I'm guessing rb, ilb, and a run stuffing nt.
Probably in that order unless billings is still there, then maybe they grab him with the 4th.. Kinda doubt it tho.

Re: 2016 NFL Draft (2nd and 3rd round) Day 2

The problem I am having is what are we gong to do when Zeke Elliot comes charging thru our defensive line averaging over 150 yards rushing per game against us. We do not seem to seriously understand how big a difference Elliot is going to make to the Cowboys. They are going to pound the ball on us with Elliot running behind that offensive line. So I am not thrilled with our drafting so far. If we want to beat Dallas, we are going to have to stop the run. Right now I do not see that happening.

Was reading an article about the Skins run defense last year. They said that they surrendered a ton of yards but...in short down situations the Skins were spectacular in stopping them. They also allowed very few runs of 20 or more though. They gave up a shitload of runs for 7-10 yards. That is on the ilb and db's, not really the dline. Im going to try and find the article.

Did you see how many TD runs of 40 or more yards Elliot had last year? That is his specialty -- driving thru a short yardage situation at the line of scrimmage and then either running over or blazing past the CB's and Safties.

guys in the nfl are faster, and they tend to take better angles than college kids. it happens a lot less.
