He had one guy to cover the whole game and allowed him to continue to burn them. Didn't really blitz much either. That guy should walk back to KC.
So let's say Knile Davis and Donnie Avery stayed in the game...don't you think Kansas City's offense could have mustered more than two FGs in the 2nd half? And perhaps they could have kept the Colts' offense off the field by keeping the ball in their possession longer? And what if Brandon Flowers stayed healthy? Don't you think that maybe he could have limited T.Y. Hilton to less than 13-224-2? I like to think so.

To say the game is all on KC's defense is incorrect. The defense played very well in the 1st half. But when their top cornerback went down and their offense could no longer stay on the field and score points, they got dominated.

San Diego and San Francisco's defenses were impressive last weekend.

I would've given Kaep a slight edge yesterday simply because he killed GB's defense with the 100 yards rushing. However, Rogers is a better QB hands down and he also has been out a good portion of the season.

Their offense didn't even need to step on the field the second half and that defense STILL should have kept them from scoring 35 points in 24 minutes. They went conservative and stopped blitzing. They got no rush on Luck and he simply ate them up.

The loss of Flowers killed them. They couldn't stop Indy after he went out.

I'm just saying that it's tough to play defense when your offense can't back you up by scoring points and taking time off the clock. Giving up 35 points in 24 minutes is unacceptable, as you've pointed out. But I don't think that can be pinned completely on the defense. The Chiefs 7 second half drives ended in: TD(18 yard drive), Fumble, Punt, FG, Punt, FG, and Turnover on Downs. And Reid only called 8 running plays to a RB in the second half.

Although, when it's all said and done, if Alex Smith had hit an open Cyrus Gray in the 4th when the Chiefs were up 41-31, the game probably would have been over right there.

Along with a inordinate amount of luck (no pun) with how that ball bounced on the goal line fumble by Brown. Never let anybody tell you that you don't need luck on your side to win it all....lol
