Is it just me, or do the Lions finally have an outside chance of winning their division for the first time since forever?
They have more than a outside chance. They have a very good chance. Green Bay is going down and Chicago is running on fumes with all the injuries.

They should try ans get 4 back. Think about how much of a story book ending that could be for Favre and GB

They said no because he's still hurt.

Rodgers could be done for the year.

I think Vince Young will be re-signed. There's not a lot out there in the FA QB pool.

I'd support Favre. The fan reaction...who knows.

Re: Around the NFL Week 9

Guys at the /r/nfl subreddit start a thread of announcer quotes after each week and damn they are amazing to reflect on.

Shit Announcers Say (Sequel to John Gruden's Quotes) : nfl

Quote:
1) "You soften the box and prepare it to go balls deep."

-Jon Gruden

.

2) "If there's just one irreplaceable player in this league, Rogers is one of them."

-Jon Gruden

.

3) "That's what I'm talking about a catch radius"

-Jon Gruden

.

4) "Chris Long.......Alshon Jefferies"

-Jon Gruden

.

5) "You know what I'd wear if I was a Bears fan? a shredder."

-Jon Gruden

.

6) "That effort to the pylon was impressive by Martellus Bennett"

-Jon Gruden (on a lunge for the first down)

.

7) "I worked with Trestman, back when...I don't know where".

-Jon Gruden

.

8) "St. Louis is...looking for...more productivity out of......(3 second pause).......Chris Johnson."

-Marv Albert

.

9) (Talking about Case Keenum) "He walks into the huddle like a samurai"

-Chris Collinsworth

.

10) "A mess in Miami... A mess in Tampa... and we will see both of them next Monday Night"

-Mike Tirico

.

11) "You have to play run 100%" (Patriots threw for an 81 yard TD on the play.)

-Phil Simms

.

12) "This playbook is filled with offense"

-Jon Gruden
Pure gold.

Re: Around the NFL Week 9

Why didn't they flag Homo for this? If anything couldn't they call it a delay of game like spiking the ball under the new rules.
