Man he looked really sharp last night. Still think they gave up too much, but if the Raiders make a push into the playoffs the next two years, might be worth it.

The only way the Raiders win this trade is if they win the SB, which they won't. However, if Palmer continues to play at a high level for the next 3 years, they are in good shape. Oakland is a young team, and given the AFC West's situation, barring anything crazy, they could be a playoff team for the next couple of seasons.

He played last year; he "sat" during the offseason the way every NFL player "sat" during the offseason. He missed training camp (4 weeks) and the first 6 weeks of the NFL season. :confused:
