Actually yeah - low profile, high potential. You want underappreciated and underrated players in free agency. To me, that means that the perception of the player is lower than what his talent level and/or potential is.

And of course I want talented players, just not the ones that you have to overpay for. High-profile = overpaid

What the hell is going on!?!?! All these aging veterans are signing extensions or getting tagged (I know the tag may not stick in the new CBA). But what are Skins fans going to do if we don't have any aging, expensive, veteran players to sign that don't fit our scheme?!?!? I would have crack-like withdrawals. THIS IS NOT HOW THE SKINS OPERATE AN OFFSEASON!!!!!!!!!

I agree with taking a shot at Rice .... hands down if we have a shot at him effing sign him. I think its foolish not to.... and this I just heard Shockey is close to signing with.the Eagles... strictly off the record info But ... we'll see

This is the most right on post i've ever read here. What in the hell will the Skins Front Office do when there are no aging, broken down vets to sign to a mega contract. I can't think of a single year under Snyder that they didnt do exactly that....should be interesting!

I can't believe Champ got a 4-year deal. I highly doubt he'll be able to play it out to the end.

He's 32 and has never had a Major Injury, I think he can.

Re: Free Agency/Franchise Tag thread 2011

Groin tear in 2008, missed 7 games, nearly half the season.

He's just slowing down and his production is on a steady decline...that's more concerning than injury risk.

He hasn't had more than 3 INTs since 2006 and his tackles/pass deflections are both falling...and I don't think it's because opposing QBs are avoiding him more in his old age than they did in his prime when he was getting 8 or 10 INTs a year.

Well that could be because teams dont throw his way much, Asomugha doesn't get many picks either. Champ surely is slowing down though.

Thats a semi-old rumor, however I would give up our first pick for him right now.
