Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
This is what this organization needed for a long time! A coaching staff that won't put up with cry baby star players. I am loving shanny more and more as our head coach. Big AL just needs to go away or suck it up and bust his $100 million dollar ass!

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
Wow...to be perfectly honest, this might be a real blessing in disguise for the Redskins. By making AH accountable for his absence but giving him a chance, however tough, to prove himself, Shanahan is really strengthening his position as the undisputed head of this team. Can you imagine Zorn having the stones to do this to AH?
I am so excited for this coming season

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
So what's the over/under on how many days it's going to take before he "passes" the test. 3, 4?

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
Yesterday, Shanahan said he'll have to do it until he passes. Until he passes he will not be permitted to practice with the rest of the team. Now, exactly what that means for the long term is anybody's guess.

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
I say 8 days. Then, we won't hear a peep from AH all year out of fearing the treadmill.

I'm going with 3. Don't think this will last 4 days.

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
So a guess the person, can't remember who it was, that said they saw him on his boat out on the lake in Tennessee almost every day during the off season was dead on...

I do believe AH worked hard with his personal trainer...but that's not exactly the same as football drills with his teammates. He could be in shape...just not football shape.

Spoke to someone who saw 92's conditioning test: Several sprints of approx. 50yds, didn't seem to be laboring. Jim Haslett monitored him. |

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
I think tomorrow he'll pass. I honestly think Shannahan is just doing this to make a point.... and I think the point has been proven at this point. I mean I could be wrong, I dont know what actually goes into these tests; but I still think he seems a tad excessive for a linemen. Whatever though, this is what I want out of a head coach when it comes to players like this.

If Shanahan asks him to dump a jar of honey onto his torso and head to the bear den at the National Zoo...it's a small task for that contract amount.
