This is the multi-million dollar question/poll.....keep up the good work.
If I only had a magic ball......Never mind, I'll call Vinny!

Re: Per Vinny Cerrato, JC is our QB this season!
I'm surprised this even required a poll. Fan dissension is one thing, the notion that the Redskins actually might consider getting a guy who is not Jason Campbell to play QB next year is pretty absurd. The only thing that's out there is the sort-of-unnecessary Leftwich talk.
Speaking of which, it might be time to consider bringing Leftwich here in a backup's role. Todd Collins' contract is an issue, yes, but he's probably never seeing the field again as a Redskin, so his roster spot is pretty valuable right now.

Re: Per Vinny Cerrato, JC is our QB this season!
Cough ,,,cough , funny . Lets face it , if we score 23 pts per game / or more , JC will be a Skin for many years . Should we struggle to score td's , than bringing in another QB is likely . Coaches and the QB are the guys that have to produce , period . Good coaches win with lesser talant and through injuries , and great QB's find ways to win the close games . Having one more year in the offence and a probable upgrade at OL still to come , we should be much better ,,,,, or heads will roll .

I've probably come off negative in my short time on these forums, but I'm really looking foward to JC playing great this year. Funny thing is JC plays great and we'll have to give him a ton of money as compared to if we had given him an extension now.

JC will be the QB untill we hear differently. Zorn has said it, Cerrato has said it. Now unless we hear JC was traded and Cutler brought in JC is the QB. Will there be a change halfway through the season? only if JC gets injured or does totally bad. but I get the feeling Collins would come in not CB.

I however think his leash is very, very short. JC has only one more shot to prove himself in DC and it is NOW or NEVER. I also have the feeling that Collins might not be on the team this season when the dust settles.

CUTLER DRAMA WILL HIGHLIGHT LEAGUE MEETINGS Posted by Mike Florio on March 21, 2009, 10:44 p.m. By leaking on Friday that more than ten teams have inquired about quarterback Jay Cutler, the Denver Broncos essentially announced that the auction is open. Just as the 32 NFL franchise gather for the annual league meetings in California on Sunday. Since Denver’s deteriorating relationship with Cutler provides no inherent leverage for trade talks, the Broncos need two or more teams to commence the process of jockeying for his services. John Keim of dcexaminer.com recently reiterated something we’ve been hearing for nearly a week — the Redskins are interested. Many other teams also could be, since Cutler provides a better option than the current starter in many NFL cities. In our view, Cutler would provide an instant upgrade for the Bills, Jets, Dolphins, Browns, Titans, Jaguars, Texans, Raiders, Redskins, Bears, Vikings, Lions, Buccaneers, and 49ers. Other teams, like the Panthers, Seahawks, Eagles, and Rams, should at least explore whether it makes sense to make a play for Cutler — and then to part ways with their current veteran signal-callers. Here’s another factor to keep in mind: Any team pondering the possibility of hiring Mike Shanahan in 2010 should be considering Jay Cutler in 2009. (For that reason alone, it makes sense that the Redskins would be interested.) It also makes us wonder whether Jerry Jones has toyed with what would be a blockbuster deal bringing Cutler to the Cowboys and sending Tony Romo to the Broncos or, alternatively, to a third team that would then ship multiple players and/or picks to Denver. Bottom line? It’s crazy that the situation between Cutler and the Broncos has gotten to this point, and it would be foolish to rule out a resolution that, in hindsight, would appear even crazier.

I just hope Danny doesn't feel the urge to get in a bidding war for Cutler at the league meetings. I can just see it - the room is abuzz with owners and agents jostling for the lead position in the Cutler sweepstakes, and Danny just can't contain himself and blows his wad. Better not happen. Either way, Denver is in an interesting spot. With all the teams looking to land him, Denver is sure to get a boatload in exchange. But they lose a stud (albeit crybaby primadonna). Should be interesting.

Another bad contract. Not so much costly, as just poorly principled. We payed him for what he did in five games, not for what he would be for us the next three years.

Re: Per Vinny Cerrato, JC is our QB this season!
FYI, for those of you who care about stats, 12 of the 18 interceptions Cutler threw last year occurred in the 4th quarter in situations where the Broncos were trailing (due to a lousy defense).
Whereas Campbells interceptions essentially nulified the hard work of our excellent defense, Cutlers came as he was taking risks because he had no choice because his defense put the offense in a bind time and time again. Cutler is a far superior QB than Campbell. Campbell plus our first rounder for Cutler would be the deal of the century.

Right, but that's only a good thing if you're on the winning side of it.

Last year, Campbell had a pro-bowl LT, RB, FB, TE and WR to help him, yet he still couldnt get it done. Cutler had half the supporting cast that Campbell did, yet he still made the guys around him look better... When has Campbell carried this team? Campbell is a guy who will never singlehandedly lose a game for his team, but he also wont win any games for his team either. A QB like Cutler could put this team over the top; whether we are actually able to get him or not, is another matter. Theres an interesting thread on extremeskins where an industrious member there found dozens of quotes from the board when the Redskins were rumored to be targeting Jason Cambpell. I found it eerily similar how many fans thought it was nonsense, how Ramsey was the QB of the future, how Gibbs, Snyder, and Cerrato all staunchly denied Campbell was a target and defended Ramsey as the QB of the future... The Skins may not be able to get Cutler, but i have no doubt they are targeting him and/or looking at other alternatives to replace Campbell - as they should be. He's not the guy we need.

Can you at least try to leave things in context? I mean, what are you trying to say when you argue that a Cutler for Campbell and a first round pick is actually just Cutler for a first round pick? You are purely speculating that Campbell won't be here next year (2010). If you are predicting that, fine, just don't extrapolate that to the next level and say he has zero value in a trade that actually involves him. Your argument has zero basis in reality. Read through it again. It's based on like four different unlikelyhoods/unsupported statements: 1) Campbell is a bad fit for our system 2) Anyone who makes one pro-bowl automatically becomes "proven." 3) Campbell has no trade value...let's trade him! 4) Cutler is a winner, despite all evidence to the contrary And then there's the one false statement, that Campbell has a great supporting cast. Samuels is our best lineman, but he only played in 12 games last year, and about 7 of those, he was hurt. Cooley is our best offensive player, but he had a rough year last year. Portis had a heck of a half season, but I'm not sure how that helps the passing game. Sellers had a nice year receiving passes, but that only happened like 15 times all year. Meanwhile, once you look deeper than pro-bowls, you have Moss and Randle El, who are very underwhelming as a receiving tandem, an offensive line that includes Rabach and Jansen, not to mention R. Thomas' horiffic year, started Jason Fabini for two weeks at RT, and started Stephon Heyer for 7 weeks, and oh yeah, had the worst set of third receivers in the entire NFL.
