Well he brought in Eugene Shen straight away, and I doubt he's a candidate for GM, else he'd have been installed in that role instead. And his CV doesn't suggest he'd be qualified.

That suggests to me that Shen will have been recommended by someone in his circle, and that he's likely to fit with the new GM candidate (if not recommended by the same in the first place). In turn that suggests he has a GM candidate firmly in the frame but as they're not appointed already, they are not yet available. Roll on Black Monday...

This nugget was going around twitter yesterday

@BurgundyBlog
Got a friend-of-a-friend kinda tip about Harris’ front-office plan. Root source is an agent. No names, but some clues, which I applied in developing a new hunch for GM short list: Ian Cunningham. TIFWIW.

I had no idea who Cunningham was until I clicked on the link and saw that he works for Eagles - I'm sold.

This is great news if true. He can bring the Eagles OC w/ him too.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread

I'm afraid I don't know much about any of these names being thrown out there as potential GM candidates. I'm just hoping the new ownership picks a good one, he/she hires a competent coaching staff - and we are the beneficiaries of a little luck in the 2024 draft.

That's not asking too much is it?

Track record makes sense because the Eagles have done nothing but win the last 2-3 years (except where it counts). Plus Harris has the Philly connections too. Makes sense.

Yes he does. But before that eagles and ravens. Seems like he will garner alot of interest and it seems well deserved. I am 100 percent positive that he, or any other candidate we look at will be more qualified to judge talent than Ron fuckin Rivera so it changes nothing for me.

Bieniemy next HC for Washington?:
"I continue to hear that if this is up to the players, if they are counseled in any way... there will not be glowing endorsements by and large for Eric Bieniemy, from the guys on offense..."

He's old school which Mahomes and Kelce both said great things and loved him.. I'll take old school tough coaching and wins over being a buddy to the players and losing

hmmm...but they are/were winning and putting up great numbers with him

there is basically two management styles; the buddy way or the hard ass way; if you are not getting results then either way is a failure

IMO, EB can walk, i have not been impressed with him at all

SH has been playing well under him but every other carry over from last year is not performing as well including Terry

Also SH looks good but its a bit inflate because EB constantly throws and its not effective just look at the L column

To be fair though this team has a D probelm more then a O problem

I agree with the W/L and EB has not been some amazing OC by any means but he's also working with one of the worst OL's in football and a young group on O. I just don't like giving young QBs inconsitentcy , this is Howells 2nd OC in as many yrs.. Adding another in YR 3 could mess him up

i see your point

But its hard to see a new HC coming in and taking EB

There is a reason EB hasn't got a HC job and the only other job he could get was a lateral to one of if not the shitest franchises in the NFL; its because he probably isnt that good without world class talent and Andy Reid holding his hand

I am not crying if EB is gone by next season, honestly he is probably a black Josh McDaniels; he works well in a very specific environment and that environment has to be drenched in HoF talent.
