I understand what you are saying but everybody handles grieving differently. I know someone who lost a father that he had a close relationship with and he also reacted by doing a lot of work and running errands. He was trying to "stay busy". Probably a defense mechanism against going into a depression. Judging by Reid's blow up tonight- it looks to me like he is still dealing with his loss.

Honestly I don't understand that either. He should take a week or two off and be with his family. To me that's kind of strange. But I guess that's the life of an NFL coach.

Sometimes people draw strength from doing their work.
And its likely that outside of his family the people he can turn to for support are his staff and players.

Either way its a tough situation.

Saints trade for Barrett ruud. Heard lofton may not play vs us week 1. Honestly we should have no problems moving the ball against the saints.

Does anyone have any idea of when Helu should be back and ready to go? I've got this terrible feeling in my gut that he is just going to continue to be injury prone Which sucks because i had such high hopes for him.

Gotta bad feeling too, next guy has to step up. Alfred Morris is that guy.

We should bring in Ryan Grant. He's still out there. We better get him soon though, other teams like the Lions are watching him too.

Maybe Tim Hightower will be the guy this year, with Royster backing him up. That plan will work for me. I know Hightower won't miss blitz assignments which will be good for RG3.

Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style

I was going to feed into the joke angle about two walruses getting into it, but I'll leave Andy Reid alone on this one. It sounds like his plan was to preoccupy himself with work so he doesn't have to deal with his son's death, but I'm sure it can't be easy. Jenkins probably should've stood down on that one.

Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style

Is it just me or does it seem like Vick is always whinning about getting hit? He makes it sound like he's the only QB taking hits and the NFL won't do anything about it. .... and honestly everytime I've seen that he gotten hurt and complained about how the NFL doesn't care about him getting hit.... he's been hit legally. Last night was nother situation where the DE bull rushed the Tackle into Vick and basically grabbed Vick and fell on him. It didn't look like the Tackle purposefully tried to injure any specific part of Vicks body. Heck the Tackle started falling down and was pulling the DE down and into Vick at the angle Vick got hit.

Also... can someone please pass word on to Vick that if he didn't want to be "targeted" then he should never have been a QB. Isn't the main focus to get to the QB and disrupt the pass or sack him? duh.

2 preseason games, 2 Vick injuries.

He's more fragile than ever. He's had to leave both preseason games so far.

I wish we were playing them Week 1, just to be the team to knock him out long-term again.

watched it on you tube and you get a much clearer look - yeah hes just waving the paper - seeing it on here it looked like he was flipping it up and down real quick - like "get up" - plus I was wondering why Jenkins would even get up - usually they just sit and get barked at - also nobody seemed to concerned that he was going to bull rush Andy because I figured they heard Andy say and motion to get up..............
