You don’t think Beto has more blue votes in Texas than anyone ever before? I think the numbers would probably back that up. Lets face it there is no right dem to push in Texas.

She hasn't lost yet (She is down by only 62 votes with 5% left to count) - She will probably win. Lake will be mine if she loses. Abrams is probably my favorite Dem loss.

Well, fingers crossed.

Yeah, Abrams is a good choice too.

Re: 2022 Midterms thread

Long term, it will probably be better for the republican party if they only win a small minority in the house (and either a split or slight minority in the senate).

Then republicans can hopefully use these mid-term elections to get more people to push past Trump. Time will tell I guess.

Re: 2022 Midterms thread

Boebert — a right-wing Republican firebrand who has stoked controversy by backing Capitol rioters and embracing QAnon conspiracy theories — is currently holding a slim lead in her bid for reelection in Colorado's 3rd Congressional District.

According to Colorado's state election results as of 12:25 p.m. ET, Boebert was maintaining a 386-vote lead over Frisch, a businessman and former city councilman. Results showed that Boebert secured 157,743 votes, or 50.06%, as opposed to Frisch's 157,357 votes, or 49.94%.

Colorado state law allows for an automatic recount if the two candidates finish with a lead that's less than 0.5% of the total vote.

Seems Trump will have 2 mouth pieces in the House

I'd like to meet the people who voted for her. Like do all those people just love Trump in that district or will they just vote for any republican no matter what?

Re: 2022 Midterms thread

Time to start changing some state names:

California = California (still)
Oregon = Northern California
Washington = Even More Northern California
Arizona = Hot California
Colorado = Mountain California
Michigan = Cold California
Minnesota = Even Colder California

I just assumed she was running in a solid red district ... just looked into it and its rural red lean but not a red strong hold like MTG has down in Georgia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colora...ional_district

Idk ... im not from Colorado. House races .. odd candidates can win.

My gripe w House of Rep is how much time, energy and attention is given nationally to certain click bait mouth pieces like Boerbert, MTG AOC

Like all you hear representing the R or D are these extreme people .. who dont rep the whole party, dont even rep a state but rep some gerrymandered map district and then get more air time then senators

Definitely frustrating. But it ain't going to change. I know it's not possible to know all of the house reps, but I barely know any of them outside of my district and the type names you mentioned. Never hear about anyone near the moderate/middle ground line.

Re: 2022 Midterms thread

I need Nevada and Arizona to go blue. I can’t deal with Herschel Walker being the guy to decide it all. It is such a nightmare scenario to me. Trump gets his guy and after all the hurt he put on the red tsunami he would take full credit for everything because it happened last. It would be like losing one of those nail biters to Dallas in the slowest way and Zeke winning it and doing that stupid feed me shit right in my face.
