For real! I'm not sold on Joe Barry, and especially not on Raheem Morris. Schwartz would be my next choice.

Any chance this could all be BS to flush out the dry snitches on the Redskins staff?

One dry snitch, the snitcher-in-chief, occupies the team President's office, so probably not.

Who knows how reliable this is. Lots of dross. LaCanfora hints Fangio, Keim has source who said "No" if LaCanfora correct.

Bottom line, we'll know when we know. The "coaching v. cheerleading" issue is a bigger concern to me. If that is (and has been) a prerequisite for coaching positions, then it would speak volumes as to why development has been an issue.

Belichick is many things, rah-rah motivational he is not. At the same time, he and his staff coach players. Talented players are great and necessary to win. More important, I would suggest is the development of talented and marginally talented college players into professionals.
Jim Schwartz could provide both....if we had interest before, why not now.

I think the biggest thing holding Schwartz back is not having a proper Bruce Allen connection. eff this sh*t

It's being reported by major news outlets. He's off the market.

Fangio is just a DC, not like he is on the field.

Resume Meltdown, it's Barry.
Per @RapSheet: The #Redskins are hiring Joe Barry as their defensive coordinator, source says. For real this time.

Re: 2015 Redskins Coaches/Coordinators News

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Redskins hired Chargers LBs coach Joe Barry as their new defensive coordinator.

Rapoport had the exact same report six days ago, but it turned out the Redskins were still chasing down other candidates. Only after Vic Fangio chose to go with John Fox and the Bears did Barry get back on the top of the list. So now the 'Skins are settling for an underwhelming Barry, who was the Lions defensive coordinator during 2007 and 2008 -- when the team went winless one year and ranked last in total defense both years. This Redskins unit is going to be a defense to attack from a fantasy perspective once again in 2015.

done deal

So you're assuming that Schwartz really wants to be here?

Fangio had no connections to Allen and he was the team's #1 candidate from the beginning. So can we can tone down with the whole networking/connections complaints.

The funny thing is that Fangio went to Chicago because he has strong ties to Fox.

Doesn't matter about Fangio really? We have shit personnel and it's not like he's going to make gold out of poop. Besides, why would we trot him in here with a huge possibility of them cutting ties with Gruden next season?
