Ill give credit where credit is due. Everyone wants to say "well he had sam bradford so ...." Come on. Sam Bradford? What was said about him before fisher got there? He was a borderline disappointment.

reminded me of something tim ryan said on sunday. in the past, i did not enjoy commentary from him and myers, idk if they've improved, or my taste has changed, but i think they do a very good job.

i liked when he credited freeman after peviously bashing his play. it was also funny when he mentioned griff's age, ryan was drafted the year he was born.

You guys know you are both implying that fisher might not be so good of a coach because he may wind up like shanny. Just sayin,.....

Re: Around the NFL...Week 5 Style

with jackson being allowed to void the final year of his contract, i think he is slated to earn $7M, he has the option to not void it?

if he chooses not to void it, are there any bonuses he stands to earn if the rams delay releasing him? basically i want to know why he would void it, since he's not going to earn $7M anywhere else, and why would he want be the "bad guy" leaving his only pro team. i can understand if there's no bonus/incentive to earn and he wants to hit the market as early as possible.

does that make sense?

Well we are all giving fish props and you said - in so many words- "shanny had the same record early on so dont get too pumped about the job fish is doing". Not sure how else to take your comment?

Classic Simpsons moment when Nelson insisted they take a detour to see Andy Williams...who recently passed away. So Moon River=RIP Andy Williams

Gonna change it later today

I mean I didn't have to include Shanahan I suppose. But I only did because the whole discussion kind of began with Crusty saying look how awesome Fisher is after five games and look how poor a job Shanahan has done. When after five games it's the same

Not what I'm saying at all.

I'm saying it might take him a little longer to get everything turned around. Can't assume after 5 games that all is right with the world in St. Louis.

I have heard both you guys say that while Shanny isnt setting the world on fire you believe he is on the rite path. Ok so both you guys think Shanny is on the rite track , and Fish might hit the same bumps in the road as Shanny has?
If i have that rite do you think that fish inherited a better product than shanny?

In some ways yes he did. First and foremost he's got a young QB and he's got key skill players on defense but he's got a long ways to go. Rams have had some rough draft picks in recent years.

Look, all I was trying to say is we're 5 games...5 GAMES...into Fisher's tenure with the Rams. That's way way too early to draw any conclusions.

I hear you now. I tend to agree about fish inheriting the better team. Maybe (minus the qb situation) they were pretty equal talent wise but shanny certainly inherited more baggage players and expensive contracts.
