You're obsessed with me, aren't you?
I like their baseball broadcasts as long as Boomer isn't there. Orel Hershhiser does a good job. I like Buster Olney's insights. They do a good job with play-by-play and we don't have to listen to Tebow or Romo news during baseball. Miss Peter Gammons. Steve Phillips WAS good in the booth.

Re: MLB 2012 (random postings/events)
50-year old Roger Clemens' debut with the Atlantic League's Sugarland Skeeters:
3 and 1/3 innings, 0 runs, 1 hit, 0 walks, 2 strikeouts. 25 of 37 pitches were strikes and he hit 88 MPH. Manager Gary Gaetti said he believes Roger was holding back from throwing harder because he had soreness in his leg, which he iced after coming out of the game. Scouts for the Astros and KC Royals were at the game. He's making his second start on September 7 vs. the Long Island Ducks.

Re: MLB 2012 (random postings/events)
People keep talking bout manager of year, Bob Melvin for me. Simply unbelievable with that squad tied for the wildcard spot in the AL. Name a player on that team.

Re: MLB 2012 (random postings/events)
Robin Ventura.
Even myself, a lifelong White Sox fan did not think the team would be even close to contending. The team lost their manager (Ozzie Guillen), their top pitcher (Mark Buehrle), their closer (Sergio Santos), their best outfielder (Carlos Quentin) and last year's big pickups forgot how to hit (Adam Dunn and Alex Rios). Jake Peavy could not stay off the DL, Gordon Beckham, the best prospect in years seemed to be a big time bust...I was ready for a battle with the Royals for the basement, as a fan of the team! The Tigers, Twins and even Indians looked to be the teams to beat in the AL Central. They're in first place with a month to go. Peavy has resurrected his career. Dunn is a monster HR hitter again. Chris Sale should be a Cy Young candidate. Konerko continues to show no age. It's been a great year.

'Weakest roster' in Red Sox history, Bobby Valentine - ESPN Boston
way to get behind your players and at the same time absolve yourself from any criticism. I swear, if they dont fire him after season end then ownership there is a joke.

Re: MLB 2012 (random postings/events)
Another oddity: Marco Scutaro managed to wear three jerseys in one game. Halfway through the game, he wanted to grab a fresh jersey because he sweated through the first one. Grabbed the wrong jersey...had to change again.

Re: MLB 2012 (random postings/events)
I don't understand how you can spell the team's name wrong (like the Nationals have done so many times) or let this happen:

Re: MLB 2012 (random postings/events)
Glad to see my Braves back in the playoffs with a walk off last night.
Miami Marlins' Ozzie Guillen brushes off critical comments from reliever Heath Bell - ESPN Hard to believe Ozzie and Bobby V will be back next year, they cant help themselves.
