Re: Redskins Hatters In The Media

The Redskins are getting ripped on Twitter right now because of Rex' comments. Fans from around the country are hatting on the Skins big time.

This takes the cake though. I've never seen anything like this...I think it's great though. He'll have to go out and compete hard and back up his words.

Rex also said this offense is better than the '06 Bears Super Bowl offense. Sheesh.

And just like that, no one is talking about John Beck. Well done, Rex.

Man hatters are out in strength today -- I just read an article asking which NFC East QB's comments were more laughable: Vince Young saying that the Eagles are a 'dream team' or sexy Rexy's comment about the Skins winning the east. And the consensus was that VY's were more controversial b/c "It's all about proximity to reality. ... It's the possibility that makes the remark controversial. If there's little of that, it's just misguided faith"

More ridiculous comment: Vince’s ‘dream’ or Rex’s ‘Skins visions? - Shutdown Corner - NFL*Blog - Yahoo! Sports

basically, rex's prediction is so unlikely, its not even controversial, its just funny

man I hope we surprise some people this year

Interesting rebuttal to both his/ and the Redskins critics in general ha!!.... Gotta admire his optimism, unbeleivable though it may be.

So this has gone viral on the internet and they just asked Justin Tuck what he thought about Rex' comments. He basically shrugged it off, but wow. So many hatters.

I wish they had kept their mouths shut, we don't need to come off as clueless people not living in reality. But in the end, hatters gon' hat. If they don't back their words up we're going to look even more clueless.

Re: Redskins Hatters In The Media

seriously though...i can't really blame people for hatting, i mean the only thing most people know is that the Skin's have been horrible for years and now Grossman is claiming that they can win the NFC east! asymmetric information about the awesomeness of the Eagles, not to mention the train run on the Redskins on MNF last year....alot of people are uneducated "fans" anyway. what should we expect people to say?

Vinny Cerrato on how to build a team:

First off, work for an owner that desperately wants to win, and loves to spend money.

Second off, rookies and the draft are dumb and useless. Draft picks are like extra money, that you can use to spend on proven vets!

Thirdly, the best players in the NFL are guys on the downhill, who, once they get their big payday, will put in their best effort yet to show they can still contribute on the backside of their careers.

But in order to get these players, you will always have to bid against somebody else. Even if nobody else wants these players, you have to have the mentality that that is a lie and that everybody else wants these players, because that's the truth.

Now, when you get in a bidding war for a player, self created or not, the first step is to throw a huge contract at the player, so you have the lead. Then you keep throwing more money into the deal to keep removing any doubt that the player you want is going to choose you.

All this happens, of course, after you fly your boss' private jet out to pick them up, and then bring them back to the area to dine at Morton's steakhouse. You gotta show these players that they can live the high life in the area and always have personal access to the owner in case your new coach doesn't always agree with you.

The best part is, you don't even need to talk football with your new superstar, because you already know he can play the game! And don't look into character concerns at all, especially if your superstar can be potentially moody or want preferential treatment, because that only happens to teams that don't have stable environments.

Now once you've loaded up your roster with all these stars and thrown in a couple rookies to spice up the mix, you're set. Just sit back and watch the Super Bowl trophies start rolling in!
