and everyone who keeps saying well we scored 28 points when was the last time that happened? when was the last time a team was up on us 28-0 in the first quarter, not shit we are gonna score some points cause they are gonna play soft all game

this game was wayyy uglier than the giants game last year, and to have it done in primetime again is just a huge dagger. last night looked like a legit playoff contender beating the crap out of a bottom feeder, which is where we are right now, it's gonna take some time to turn this around and from all accounts no one evens knows what direction we are headed yet, and thats the scariest part
My biggest issues is that I feel that once again we seem to be patching things up and not committing to full blown rebuilding. But as I said in a previous post, I don't think MS is the type of coach that would build up a team from scratch. While I have a glimmer of hope, I just find it hard to see this team doing enough offensively to get us anywhere (and not have any defensive eggs like the one we laid last night).

Also why sign this contract now???? Why not try to make a play for Vick in 2011??? So f--king stupid.

I honestly have never been so f--king pissed at this team in my life.

I don't, in any way, think the field conditions had any effect on slow or fast. I think it was an offense vs. defense issue.

The Eagles weren't any slower on the slick surface than they would have been on a dry one. It wasn't about speed. They were going to control that advantage no matter what.

Totally 100% disagree. Besides, he wasn't just running on us, he was beating us from the pocket with pin point passes. Plus he hasn't thrown a single pick all year our while McNabb has 11. Sorry but this trade looks like dog shit right now.

Because the Eagles were the only team to give Vick a shot and now that he paid off, they will pay him anything he wants in 2011 to keep him there. Vick is a Eagle for the rest of his productive career.

Why sign the contract now? Because if we didn't, then the he would be looking ahead to being a Cardinal next season. If we are going to get the best of McNabbs talent then we needed to make his presence here concrete.

He is now the true leader of this team. I don't know what some of you guys expected last night. Some of us seen this kind of loss coming so clearly. I honestly did not expect us to score 28. I thought we would only score 17. On the flip side I predicted the Eagles to score 42, they almost did that by half time.

Have you been watching Vick play this season? Cmon.

28 points is usually enough to win a game, we say that the O-line stinks, yet McNabb squeezed 28 from behind it. Not many QB's could do that.

We need a faster Defense and a different scheme to compete against teams like Philly. We are just not built for the 3-4 yet. Backfield needs more consistency, Where the hell was Hall last night? Everybody had hands like rubber. We had some chances at some picks last night.

Other things I look at is the way we tried to rush Torain and Banks back into the game. Neither of them should have been in uniform last night. We got lucky with Banks IMO (hopefully). Not so much with Torain.

We need to get off the 28 points as a positive that was total garbage time points.

If this is correct where's the 40 million gauranteed everyone keeps reporting?
That is my main problem with this contract

Re: Redskins and McNabb Agree to Contract Extension

The $40M guaranteed obviously was not correct, this makes a lot more sense and his future with the team beyond this year is still up in the air. They obviously want to see him earn it.

Re: Redskins and McNabb Agree to Contract Extension

WHAT IN THE WORLD?

Why do people keep falling into the same argument? Vick would not make the Redskins Better. Vick would not make the redskins go to the playoffs. The Eagles have a great TEAM. They have a great offensive line with very talented wide receivers and a good QB to boot. We don't have an offensive line, don't have good WRs and have a good QB. It's a TEAM game.

The redskins have no talent. If anything, you should be complaining why we spent 3 picks on receivers instead of offensive lineman two years ago.

Not saying it would have mattered either way, but generally speaking a sloppy field will benefit players on offense as they at least know where they're going, defenders have to react accordingly and a sloppy field hurts them more.

Seems like it's a pretty good deal then, no? Funny how everyone was ready to pile on this deal and to believe that we GUARANTEED DMac Brady-style money.

I guess we deserve that with all we've done in the Snyder era, but to hear Gruden and co. bring up Jeff George et al. last night was just more salt in the wounds.

McNabb is no savior, but he's a decent vet. And he's not anywhere near our most serious problem at this point. O-line, WR, RB, a front seven that can play the 3-4, etc. seem more pressing to me. Whatever.

I am getting tired of being kicked in the nuts by this team year after year. Guess that's the price of being a skins fan!

Actually the Eagles O Line is just Ok and if not for Vick scrambling we would have had some good pressure on the QB last night.
