Great pocket movement. Good deep balls. Two or three really solid efforts on 3rd down. A couple poor decisions (one ended being an int). All that makes it a B+ to me. BUT... early on his short game accuracy was pretty bad and it has reared it's head a few times later in the half too. Drop him to a C+. He's keeping us in the game though. Our running game has just killed us. It's really the difference overall.

Have to give Donovan a straight up C. I just hope he picks it up again by the 4th preseason game and gets into a rhythm.

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread

Moss has 4 receptions for 78 yards long of 25

Armstrong 3 receptions for 75 yards long of 45

Cooley 3 for 33

Mcnabb is 11/26 for 206 yards and 1 Int.

Portis 2 carries for 14 yards long of 9

Seems as though we got some production in the passing game but nothing in the running game

The bad LJ 8 carries for 4 yards with a long of 4

Gave up alot of Rushing yards

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread

much worse game today than last week offensively. the o-line looked really bad after brown went out. suggs is giving williams a very hard time, not too surprising considering suggs' ability, but still. mcnabb is getting killed out there, plus there is no run support. cant really blame him right now. the ravens know he is going to pass and the o-line isnt protecting him. the amount of easy drops is alarming and not helping mcnabb. anthony armstrong looks like a keeper though. devin thomas needs to step his game up right now or he will be cut. also, larry johnson has looked very bad. no positives from him, cant block, cant catch, cant run. portis has looked good in limited time though.

Shanahan will be angry or at least frustrated at LJ and the oline for their crappy run game performance.

I cannot see the game but it seems as though this can be a normal day on the football field. He can win us more games then he can lose.

Hopeully he can get his short game down and be able to lean on our running game.

Since I cannot watch, is it just the running of L J or is more of the line not getting a push? combo of both?

How does J. Brown look tonight?

I was really hoping LJ would show some burst but he's not looking good at all.
Someone needs to inform LJ that it's one cut and go. Not dance around and look for a hole.

I do not have any stats for Grossman.

Did Mcnabb play all of the first half?

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread

Well, this is the time where u work the kinks out and gel. A little struggling is normal for any new unit, especially with a rookie on the O Line, a new coach and a new QB.

I have a feeling that our line will only get better with each start. It has the capability of being really good, but for now, give em some time.

Would like to see McNabb being a little more accurate tho, that could have been the difference in a couple first downs if he threw it where he should have.

I got all of those from the NFL.com scoreboard. They also have a play tracker.
