Johnny Newton is possibly my favorite player of all time. Great kid on and off the field. A super hard worker. He was literally the highest rated DT by PFF over the last few years. The kid was disruptive on both offense and defense, and there were times he was being triple teamed. only player I've ever seen get triple teamed. He is a great pass rusher, incredibly fast and athletic (was a RB in high school), and doesnt take plays off. Easily the best player on the field in every game he played this season. A real stud. If he stays healthy, and I think he will, Newton is going to be the steal of this draft. |

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
They dropped deep into the 2nd, thinking that is OT and TE zone, perhaps even lb

Full terms of the trade: Buffalo receives No. 33 overall (R2) and No. 141 overall (R5) Carolina receives No. 32 overall (R1) and No. 200 overall (R6) I wouldn't call that better negotiation.

There’s a plan afoot in Ashburn that isn’t apparent yet. I hope it’s not a case of Brock Purdy syndrome

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
They've decided impact players aren't as important as good players. In other words. They'd rather have 2 Bs instead of an A and a C

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
If I were them at this point, I'd trade both 2s for 4 3s and just load of on B players and hope the volume play works out

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
Depends on how they value the talent. If they believe those guys still in the 2nd round would normally be 3rd or 4th rounders in a better talent pool draft, then that's definitely what they should do.

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
Another rule, never trade with a superior Front Office. Until we prove otherwise, we are average. Philly is really good

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
Hate the trade.
I sound like a broke record but one year we swapped 2nds with Dallas. They moved up to get Demarcus Lawrence. We got Trent Murphy. We need DBs and Otackles. Hate day 2 so far. |
