Re: Let's talk good beer
Haven't posted in a while but want to give props to Other Half Brewing and Crooked Crab Brewing Company(local to DMV). They are making some of the best beer I've had in years. The craft beer industry has changed greatly over the last few years and I have shifted to more local options for freshness. It is not difficult now to find an A+ brewery within 20 miles from anywhere nowadays.

Re: Let's talk good beer
Just got back from Bavaria and was reminded how much I love going into a brewer’s pub and just ordering “a beer.” Okay, maybe you choose between light and dark and wheat, but what you get is simple, fresh and delicious. And local. I love the local part, but the problem I have with most US microbreweries is that they want to make something precious and distinctive. I’ll take a freshly-tapped Yuengling over most boutique micros. And nice that Guinness had started brewing in Baltimore.

Re: Let's talk good beer
All I want to drink lately are crisp cold lagers. I love a good IPA or sour but sometimes I just want to crush a few Pacificos like I’m doing right now

Re: Let's talk good beer
Small world, as I haven't had Pacifico's in a long time. But we went and got Mexican food today in Nashville, and they had those on draft for 5 bucks. Had quite a few of those. Cold, with lime, very satisfying.
