Cousins and most other backups would thrive with those weapons too.

McCown had a great run this season but if some other team goes after him based on this season, they're going to be disappointed after they end up with another Matt Flynn.

Hell no ....you trade his narrow ass to get bodies for a position that doesn't have a real starter.
We need more draft picks....period.
I don't know about you guys but I'm planning on Griffin playing all 16 games next year.
The difference is that the QB is the most important position on the field and if the starter goes down a good back up is a must, not so much with a DE.

I'm glad you are planning on RG3 playing all 16 games but a wise mand once told me to expect the best but plan for the worst. RG3 not playing in all 16 games might not be the worst case scenario (him not being able to run the offense is) and the Skins need to expect the best but plan for the worst.

No ....the difference is that we are rebuilding big time and we are short on picks and need to make that up as soon as possible.

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.

I honestly don't see anything great in Cousins. To me it seems like a lot of hype but if some one wants to give us a 2nd rounder for his hype hooray.

If we ever trade Cousins, it will be for 2nd round pick.

Turning a 4th round pick into a 2nd round pick. I can live with that. If that happens, thanks Shanahan.

This is part of the game. Thats what we want, what we take most likely is very different. To me this is the set up for the "yes we would love a 3rd and a 5th."

There is no way the Skins could get a 2nd rounder for KC.

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.

Their best chance to land a 2nd rounder will be the night after the 1st round of the draft finishes. At that point there may be a team or two who didn't land a rookie QB in the first round. If there's one team like that, then they'll have the leverage on the Skins and would probably insist on no higher than a 3rd. If there's two teams though, then one might bite for a 2nd rounder.

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.

The only problem with trading him is it creates another hole. Still I don't think he is all that.

Exactly that's how negotiations go.

A UDFA fills that hole.
The Seahawks won the super bowl with Tavaris effing Jackson as their back up.
Easy peasy.......
