That's about 1600 contract moves this week. Wow. This is going to be a lot of fun.
Oh yeah its gona be great to see DS over pay for trash i cant wait. And to see a projected 600 players change teams wow im as giddy as a fn college freshman headed out on his first panty raid.

I long for the old days, and i know they aint coming back, so save it.

Oh Yeah? Well, even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then and The Hogs played for the Washington Redskins. Did you ever think of that?

That's why I think we should make yet another trade for a QB. The problem with the McNabb trade was that we didn't give up enough high draft picks for him to be any good. The same was true for Jason Campbell. We should give up our #1 and #2 picks for Orton to ensure that he'll do well here.

That said, he is a winner at home games. We could use that in primetime games.
We could use that as a whole.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency Thread

did anyone else read john claytons list of the top 10 ufa's, and the favorites and darkhorse team list? I think we were listed on over half of the flipping list as the fav or darkhorse...........I guess noone took notice that last year we strayed from the tendencies of the previous regimes. Oh well.....

True. we all know how Brandon Lloyd can make even the most inept QB look like a hall of famer.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency Thread

The only QB's that can come here are either Matt Leinart to compete for a starting job (because he knows the system), Vince Young to sit and learn, or an UDFA to fill in a roster spot.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency Thread

Huh?

Quote:
Bad Fit: Washington Redskins
The Redskins need more firepower in the passing game, but the presence of a starter (John Beck) with a popgun arm makes the situation a poor fit for Rice. Beck lacks the arm strength to throw the ball down the field and that would limit Rice’s effectiveness. The money the Redskins can throw at Rice will certainly be enticing, but he would underachieve in Washington due to the quarterback situation.

Santonio Holmes, receiver
Ideal Fit: Washington Redskins
Holmes is the best wide receiver available on the free-agent market and is capable of thriving as a No. 1 receiver in any scheme. While the Redskins' muddled quarterback situation poses an issue, the creative mind of Mike Shanahan could take Holmes' game to another level. Shanahan transformed the likes of Rod Smith, Ed McCaffrey and Brandon Marshall into Pro Bowlers, and he would make Holmes a star

Huge Bucky Brooks fan, but I don't get either how Rice is a bad fit but Moss is an ideal fit? Particularly based on his reasoning of why Sidney Rice is a bad fit

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency Thread

Some more:

Quote:
Cullen Jenkins, defensive tackle/end

Ideal Fit: Washington Redskins
Jenkins has been one of the league’s most underappreciated players, but coaches and scouts view him as a potential superstar in the right system. The Redskins’ 3-4 would place him at the five-technique, and allow him to use his versatile skill set to become an impact pass rusher along the front. With Brian Orakpo and Ryan Kerrigan poised to line up alongside him, he could feast off the isolated match-ups the Redskins’ defensive alignment creates up front.
Quote:
Aubrayo Franklin, nose tackle

Bad Fit: Washington Redskins
The Redskins need an upgrade at nose tackle, but the team should opt for cheaper options. While Franklin is certainly a strong player against the run, the cost-benefit analysis for the Redskins should lead them to look elsewhere for a solution.
