If i'm not mistaken in the probowl you are limited to how many times you can blitz because the OL is not familiar we each other. In the senior bowl it's not like that it's basically everyone for themselves.

I just watched the highlights. I know Capers had a terrible Senior Bowl, but I don't know how much this video helps us see what he needs to work on? Capers was in for exactly one play at left tackle during the whole entire video granted he did give up a sack to Graham.

Grahm got drafted by the Eagles. So naturally one would assume that they would line him up at RDE which would put him against Silverback. Selvish Capers has little to do with it unless of course Capers becomes a starter and Grahm gets a few snaps at LDE on passing downs. What I was talking about was more concerned with how well Grahm played in that game.

Senior Bowl has similar rules.

Best pick: They landed a franchise tackle in Trent Williams in the first round. He will protect the blind side for a long time.

Questionable move: Passing on taking a quarterback for the future at some point. Donovan McNabb can't play forever.

Third-day gem: Fourth-round pick Perry Riley is a linebacker who could be in the mix inside in the new 3-4 scheme. Riley was an active player at LSU.

Analysis: I like the pick of Williams in the first round and getting McNabb for the second-round pick is stealing. If you factor in the McNabb trade, they had a nice draft.

Grade: B-
Hard to disagree w/ this analysis. I actually am inclined to give the FO an A because I think had we traded back the oline situation would be far more tenuous for the season. Of course, this assumes TW is the real deal and basically has a Chris Samuels type of career (btw i think it's fantastic Chris is there as coach/mentor), but anyway the main idea is there were only a few franchise LT prospects this year and I believe they were gone by the middle of the 1st round, with Baluga going to SF. Beyond TW and Okung tho it seemed like a pretty big drop off in talent.

He played more LT in the senior bowl, and he went against other rushers besides graham. Kiper said on draft day, that the reason his stock fell so badly was because of the senior bowl. He said he got owned by about every rusher that came his way. Look through some of the other highlights, and you'll see for yourself.

What I was saying was in the link you provided so that we could all see Capers struggles at the Senior Bowl the player in question is only on the field playing for one actual snap.

I heard Capers played badly so I just wanted to see more bad highlights of him, but all the other snaps in that video are of that tackle from LSU who got badly exposed as well.

Re: Redskins 2010 Draft Class with Analysis

Warpath Poll results for the last 3 drafts
.........2010..........2009..........2008......... .....2007
A........9.09%.......4.65%......24.07%............ 4.97%
.
B.......54.55%....44.19%......50.00%..........16.1 5%
.
C.......32.17%....38.37%......20.37%..........36.0 2%
.
D........2.80%......8.91%........3.70%..........30 .43%
.
E.......................1.16%*
.
F.........1.40%.....2.71%........1.85%...........1 2.42%

(Ok the 2007 poll was actually grade Dan Snyder but I did not find a poll on the draft for that year.)

Overall I would say we collectively want to give the Skins (not DS ) the benefit of the doubt, seeing as how less than 13% of us gave any one of the drafts a D or lower (even with not taking a OL last year!)

I hope this year's class pans out.

Re: Redskins 2010 Draft Class with Analysis

The 2009 draft has the lowest aggregate score per our WP draft analysts (which includes everyone), but I think in hindsight, that's certainly going to be the best of all the drafts going back to 2006.

Think I voted:

2010 - C
2009 - A
2008 - D

But I can't quite remember.

2009 was skewed heavily by the fact that no OL was drafted, that really set the stage for the fan outrage aimed at VC/DS, and obviously foreshadowed the debacle of last season.

Re: Redskins 2010 Draft Class with Analysis

Just read SportingNews Magazine's review on our draft the May 10, 2010 edition they gave us an overall B-. I don't understand they ranked Capers as a top 10 OT they gave him a C+ we drafted him in the 7th rd. They gave Thomas Welch B- NE, Kyle Calloway B+ Bills neither one of these guys were in SNM's top 10 OT's, but got a higher grade than Capers. I know some might say it's based on the system their going into but I'm no longer buying that magazine.

We could have drafted Campbell with the 4th round pick. I think Oakland ended up drafting him with the pick after the 'Skins. It'll be interesting to compare Campbell and Capers this season.

To be fair you also have to compare Riley's production to Campbell's. If Capers is equal to or slightly below, but Riley is a steal, it would be in our favor. If Riley busts, and Capers does like Campbell than we still got the better, but if Riley busts, Capers busts, but Campbell shines then we blew it.

I think Campbell is gonna be a bust. I do have high hopes for both Capers and Riley. I didn't know Riley so that is mainly from the Skins propaganda, but Capers and Campbell were about even in my mind, so I think we got a lucky steal that he was available to us at our pick

Maybe I'm just reaching for straws, but part of me wants Terrance Austin to be our version of Eddie Royal in 2008. Better yet our version of Desean Jackson, though that's probably asking to much. As with most things his ability to run routes and catch the ball will be pivotal. The main thing he has going for him right now is that he has the ability to get separation with his speed.

I hear ya. I'm with you, I'm just dying to have speedster sparkplug on this team. I mean Santana is good and all, but you get what I mean.
