Weatherford is a punter. In my experience the kicker/punter receives the most disrespect from his teammates. I seriously doubt that he did not understand the consequences for posting this. I think he understood. I would not be surprised if on some level he WANTED this to be seen.

DeSean Jackson of Philadelphia Eagles -- I didn't give full effort in 2011 - ESPN

This comes as no shock. It was evident that DJ tanked last year, and why they decided to reward him for his actions was mind boggling.

Some more young QBs to start in week 1:

Miami Dolphins name Ryan Tannehill Week 1 starting QB - ESPN

Tennessee Titans select Jake Locker as starting QB - ESPN

Can't help but admire that.
Agreed. And while it looked like classic bullying, we don't know the whole story.

Dunno about admiration in this case, but this kinda stuff is common for better or worse, right? I could just see Goodell getting involved in this for appearance sake if nothing else. Player safety. Player safety. Player.... Lord help us all if there's an accident from something like this.

Ironically this might be the most tragic part of the Seau suicide.

Junior Seau's system found to have no alcohol or illegal drugs - ESPN

The autopsy said Seau's brain didn't appear to have any trauma. His family has donated some of his brain tissue for research.

Lots of mixed emotions when I read that. Obviously the first one being that he didn't have to die. Second one being that his death may have been from nothing, as theres a strange sense of honor in what he did.

But of course then theres hope that if this falls through and he didn't have any damage then it'll show that not every player with a long career will have to worry about head trauma after their career which of course brings us back to the fact that Junior needlessly died for virtually nothing.

I remember when some Skins fans were foaming at the mouth to trade for this guy(after his injuries). Dude is a former shell of himself since the injuries.
Merriman was actually one of the guys I was interested in watching this season as the man was blowing up my Twitter feed virtually every day this past offseason talking about how hard he was working. Wanted to see if it was just talk or if it would end up amounting to something and I would be proved a fool to doubt him.

Ha. Correct thread postage.

Vick and his ribs, tisk tisk. Looks like 3/4 of the NFCE have O-Line issues.

3. Defensive end Jermaine Cunnngham was able to turn the corner on veteran tackle Todd Herremans and apply a cage-rattling hit on Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. The hit was to the left side of Vick's torso, and knocked him out of the game. He had X-rays on his ribs following the hit, it was announced.

This could be the happiest year of my life. Seeing the Phillies and the Eagles stink it up in the same year would be too good to be true.

That's what I'm thinking. The Giants will be SB contenders again, but Philly sucks and Dallas is mediocre at best. There's no way we'll be in the cellar this year.
