Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
IMO.. Belichick is not one of the greatest coaches of all time and he sucks as a GM. Plus he won w/ a lot of Parcells leftovers when he won in 2001. Great coaching job he did on that team. Probably the least talented of all his SB teams so I'll give him that.
A great coach can win w/ different types of teams, different QB's and so forth. Just not seeing that w/ Bill B. Parcells was a better coach than Bill B. |

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
I’m pretty much convinced that Harris should let RR and JDR keep walking down the plank toward 6-11 or whatever. But if Harris has a GM in the wings, could he put that person in place now? No one currently in Ashburn should be working on our 2024 draft board (other than compiling video). Of course Harris has advisors watching what’s going on, but I’m talking about getting started with gutting the FO. Is there precedent for this?

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
That is my preference someone in the FO but I will gladly take a coach as well. Anything for new ownership to show they hear the fans frustration would be appreciated. Hell I would even take an apology for the on field product being so piss poor as long as it came from the ownership.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Do the same tampering rules apply to FO ppl as to players and coaches?

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
I think the one mistake Harris and co made was not firing Mayhew and Hurney right away. He should have got a GM right away and let that person evaluate Ron and company.
But since we are not making the playoffs I think he can get someone in right after the season and get going. Maybe he already has got a guy and that guy is doing work behind the scenes. I don't think Mayhew really got a fair deal here cause he had to bow down to Ron. He had some solid drafts in Detroit, he also had some bad ones, like all GM's do. |

That suggests to me that Shen will have been recommended by someone in his circle, and that he's likely to fit with the new GM candidate (if not recommended by the same in the first place). In turn that suggests he has a GM candidate firmly in the frame but as they're not appointed already, they are not yet available. Roll on Black Monday... |

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
They should hire Brian Mitchell as GM and let him fire the new HC

I mentioned Adam Peters a few weeks ago. He is still the guy I want but this whole list intrigues me. |
