The Friday thread

I'm doing my best to do nothing today, and it's working out pretty well!

So... anything good on tap for the weekend other than avoiding this crazy heat?

Weather is great today. Going out for a new thing in the city called food truck food court. Gourmet food truck is the new "hip" thing, so there doing this thing where 8-9 show up serving top notch tacos, asian fusion, orgainic, vegan...just all types. Looking forward to it with a couple friends. This weekend is going be chill, cause the next 4 weekends are gonna be packed with beach, concerts, lake, etc.

re: The Friday thread

I'm taking the weekend off from my second job and hitting up Kings Dominion (VA theme park) on Sunday. I know we're halfway through the season, but I got a season pass to Kings Dominion recently. I figure if I go twice before the end of the season, I'll have justified it, and that shouldn't be too hard. Tomorrow I'm planning on finally going to see Ted with friends, and then get into whatever afterwards.

re: The Friday thread

We are heading down to Nags Head to attend a wedding. The reception should be great because this guy is loaded and when his first daughter got married I figured he dropped 100 g on that one. Sunday we will spend the day on the beach and I'm sure my daughter will wear me out running around the beach all day.

Chico: That sounds pretty cool. Do they have a beer truck and other things to do besides eat and how odten do they have that going on?

Thank the Dao its Friday.

Tonight, going to a small club to hear some fine acoustic music with friends. After that, hopefully a lot of time in the garden and revisiting some old Monty Python films like The Meaning of Life and The Life of Brian.

Stuck in Logan Airport until 5:50 by the time I get home, wife and kids will be on Maryland's Eastern Shore. So after a week of intensive training, I come home to an empty house. Blech.
Tomorrow, however, Symphony in the park and fireworks!

Well I just had a fun time. My Co2 detector went off. I tried resetting it, changed the battery, and it still went off 3 different times. Called 911 and had the FD come out to take a reading. Thankfully the reading was negative. All they could think of is maybe the detector is shot.

Nice. Love these home breakdowns.

Last weekend, got to buy a new washing machine.

Still have to get around to replacing the garbage disposal and the touch-screen on the thermostat is now being flaky.

I had something similar happen last week to mine...I kind of figured if I'm still breathing while resetting it, changing the battery etc. then something must just be wrong with the detector. Then again I don't know how long CO poisoning takes

If the levels are low it will just slowly make you sick. Flu like symptoms is what they told me. If the levels are high enough you probably won't have much time to react.
