Ditto. My wish is that all the other Dad's out there enjoy ther family as much as I do mine. As I tell everyone who is willing to listen, it's the best job I've ever had.

To my own Father - thanks.

Thanks for showing me how to use a hammer - and broom after to clean up the mess.
Thanks for showing me words are meaningless without actions.
Thanks for showing me fear is normal, bravery is hard.
Thanks for showing me it's okay to fail, it's not okay to quit.
Thanks for showing me stopping wrongs requires you to do right.
Thanks for showing me that you do the right thing for no other reason then that it is right.

Thanks, Dad, for being a Dad.

Re: Happy Father's Day to All.....

Thanks, had a GREAT day.

My wife made me a good pancake/bacon breakfast...I spent some 1-on-1 time with each kid (while the other napped) and then my wife went all Giada DeLaurentis on me and made Lasagna Rolls with Prosciutto for dinner...then we had some nice 1-on-1..nevermind.

I also watched MJ's flu game in the '97 Finals in its entirety. I never get to just sit down like that but I was told to yesterday. Got a few work (dress) shirts and a Batman Dad too.

Re: Happy Father's Day to All.....

We had alll the family over and the wife said she would cook what ever we wanted. We had what she wanted. She said to relax and she would do everything. Except, cut the grass, trim the yard, purchase the food, pack the beer down on ice, set up the tables for dinner, and grill the meat. Seemed like the same thing I did for mothers day but it was great. Well, thats until our 5 yr old had a melt down 3 hours past her bed time and my wife asked if I could handle it. That was after I cleand up everything outside from the cookout.

I guess I should be enjoying this while it lasts.

Your post made me laugh though.

Of course, Saturday, I put in a good day's work sanding down and staining the stair treads and painting the trim/risers white, so it's not always like Father's Day. My wife took the kids out and brought me a milkshake back during the job...just to rub it in some more.
