Re: Saints Player Suspensions Coming Down

I can't see any scenario that would have Gregg Williams coach in the NFL again. I'd be willing to wager vast sums of money that he's done for good. He would present too much of a liability to future lawsuits to have him around. Imagine some guy having a career ending injury or concussion while Gregg Williams was at the helm. THem knowing what they do now? No way they could deny anything in defense.

I'm surprised Vitt didn't also get a year suspension. He deserves one as well.

Cris Carter, formerly of Minnesota Vikings, admits to authorizing bounties - ESPN

This makes Carter looks like he wants attention. I kinda have a hard time believing he paid people to take out defense

Yeah I think Carter is just being an attention whore. Par for the course with him though. I also have a hard time believing he'd put a bounty on an ex-NFL player (who he disliked from his playing days of course) if he passed him in the hall at ESPN too.

I laughed at the "my return from a missions trip in Swaziland". It just sounds like the typical "officer, I was on the way home from the soup kitchen and on the way to volunteer at the orphanage when I saw him..." stories. Not doubting him though.

Sounds like Williams was blackmailing his own players. "remember who brought him into the league and onto the team..."

Yeah GW seems like a d-bag of the highest order. Anthony I've got you penciled in as the starter.... Oh by the way you need to lie about this....

It really does. This bounty thing has been a big story for months now, and all of a sudden a WR claims he put bounties on LBs? Please.

Romanowski agrees that this is nothing more than an attention grab by Carter.

As much as I hate both Romo and Carter, I'd side with Romo on this one.

This.

Does ESPN still employee that idiot CC? If so, why? In fact, why does anybody at this stage?
