Re: Tattoo's

I think it's a good idea. Summo has a huge Redskins logo on his arm I think it is. He could probably talk to you more about Redskins tats. I'm still looking to get my first. I know I wanna get the japanese symbols for love and peace on the backs of my shoulders and then the 3 stars and 2 bars for the DC flag. I'm not sure where that'd look good yet. But I don't want any tats on my arms. Something chicks with arms tattoos, unless its a sleeve, or sleeve-like, I'm not crazy about.

JMO....but tats should be such that you can display or not if you want and depending on the clothes you wear. To much of anything else spells nice long gig with the...Carny circuit.
I saw this 70....ish year old woman in the grocery store line the other day with a couple of saggy tats on her arms.....not nice.

Man I saw the craziest scarification pic on the net. Some guy got a Virgin Mary scene on his back and I nearly yakked. It was intense. I also saw a girl that worked at Starbucks with an ankh on her chest.. I dunno. I'm just not into the scarring thing.

Yeah my tats are pretty small. An ex of mine, post-break up legit begged me to write True Love so they could get it tattooed on them. They got it on the back of their neck. So. My writing is on someone's body for the rest of their life. Creeeeepy.

Re: Tattoo's

I have one tattoo so far, and it's a half sleeve on my left shoulder/bicep. I might get more, idk yet, but if I do I won't put it anywhere more visible, like my arms, or somewhere stupid like a neck tattoo. I think there's two kinds of tattooed people in this world, the ones who get them to make a statement about themselves, and to stand out more, and then people who get them in less obvious areas that have more personal meaning. I'm definitely in the latter. I've thought about getting a dc sports related tattoo, but don't see myself doing it, partly because I think it's a dumb idea and whatever team you make a tribute to would have to be a massive part of your life for the rest of your life.

Basically I'm saying if I get a Redskins tattoo and we have 4 more decades of mediocrity under Snyder I'd probably hate to look at it and regret getting it by then. Obviously I'm committed to being a fan of the Redskins but I feel like every time I see a person with a tattoo commemorating a sports team, that person is usually a huge douche who barely knows anything about the team that he's (yes it's usually a guy) paying tribute to. I wouldn't want to come across that way.

It all depends on the person. If you have doubts about it I wouldn't get it, having doubts about now could lead to having regrets about it later. You obviously have the ability to do a crossover/dual theme there. It's all up to you man. Pitch a few ideas to a couple of artists. If you don't have an image in mind, just throw your ideas out there and see what comes back. And if you don't like what comes back, don't get it. Just know that getting a tattoo is a lifelong commitment. Because if you end wanting to get the tattoo removed, just know

A. it hurts a hell of a lot worse than getting it done
B. it's just as, if not more, expensive than what you paid to get it done
and C. it usually doesn't remove all traces of the tattoo, so you still have little reminders of what used to be there.

Long story short it's better to be 100% comfortable with what you're getting done before you get it done, because getting it removed sucks in all aspects, and getting it redone isn't that great either. But I think a Skins/son piece is better than these kids who go out and get a sports themed tattoo, only to regret it 5 years later when they don't give a shit about the team anymore because they're stuck in mediocrity.

Appreciate the insight man, I'm thinking pretty good about it, I'm going to hit a few shops and see what comes back from the artist here soon.. I will say it won't be very big and it won't be visible unless I go sleeveless which I only do that for basketball lol.. my bro has probably 10 tats and he regrets most of them so I do no what your saying lol

Yeah I wouldn't wanna go too intense.. but I've thought about doing a 21 since Sean passed.

Re: Tattoo's

summos tat was pretty tight

http://www.thewarpath.net/redskins-l...tml#post392182

also found this one

http://www.thewarpath.net/redskins-l...tml#post540599

and below is a pic of mine, i had posted it before but couldn't find it. i wanted something a little different and went with the 70th anniversary spear with the current feathers and a little burgundy and gold blood on the tip for good measure. the 1 is part of a 13 the 3 is on my other wrist. i also have almost a full sleeve on my right arm, with the main feature being a dragon that goes from my wrist to my shoulder. i love tattoo's and love getting new ones, they can be addictive. i hope to get a pretty big chunk of my arm filled in in the next few months.

where are you thinking about getting yours? and how big?
