Re: Jason Campbell
Only if Ramsey goes down and Brunnel plays like last year.

Re: Jason Campbell
There's a possibility he might start one preseason game just for gibbs to give him a quick sample of pro nfl starters instead of the camp scrubs he'll be facing in the other games. But there's no way he starts this year unless Ramsey is out.

Re: Jason Campbell
I'm excited to have Campbell but. Ramsey has the experience. Campbell throws (in the OTA snipet) looked sweet. It'll be difficult to defend those passes if he makes good reads. I wonder if he can zip balls into tight spots too like Ramsey.

Re: Jason Campbell
It's nice to know that Gibbs at least recognizes Brunnel cant even push Ramsey (much less start). We now have quality depth at the most important position on the team and protection in case Ramsey goes the way of Smoot and Pierce.

Re: Jason Campbell
That's something that hasn't been raised - Ramsey is entering a contract year and has tens of millions of reasons to step it up.
I'd better not have to change my screenname. I'll be pissed. |

Re: Jason Campbell
Despite what the so called experts say, I don't see it happening. Just look how long it took for Gibbs to give Ramsey a chance...
I really don't see him handing the team over to a rookie unless we're decimated by injuries or we're 0-8 and the season is totally lost. Even if the season were lost, I can't see Campbell starting unless he is REALLY impressive and clearly our best option. |
