Could Ramsey's agent be the "Leak?"

from RunPortisRun (over at Extremeskins)

http://extremeskins.com/forums/showt...hreadid=100591

Speculation:

Before Gibbs went down to Auburn to work out Jason, he had a sitdown with Patrick and told him that the team would draft Campbell if he is at 25. Based on that conversation, Ramsey told his agent, Jimmy Sexton, who is very close to Lenny P. It seems reasonable that Sexton would leak the information to EPSN to indirectly hinder the plan.

I don't blame Danny. This is not the 1st story leaked out of Redskins park and pastabelly usually has it first.

Good for Ramseys agent, the funny part about this whole situation is that management really felt they had to keep this pick a secret to ward off would be suiters in the first rd. The more I think about that the more I have to laugh. As if we uncovered some kind of hidden gem!

Who knows and how cares at this point. I like extremeskins, but they also have alot of "interesting" rumor threads where someone who knows someone who works in a krispy kreme served Jon Jansen and Randy Thomas... Or someone who knows someone who golfed with Patrick Ramsey. I mean, c'mon.

Why would you think that its good for someone with inside information to leak our draft information? I don't think we would have been amused if it was a player that we all agreed we needed and was taken by a team who moved up in the draft to take the pick from us with leaked information. I don't care if we agree with the pick or not its just not good for the team.

Re: Could Ramsey's agent be the "Leak?"

I don' t think his agent did it we have had leak problems way before this occurance. Its cerrato, one he drafted Ramsey, two he used to work for espn, and three he's the type to pull a stunt like that.

Re: Could Ramsey's agent be the "Leak?"

I can't tell you how I know this but I do know that the "leaker" is/was someone within the Redskins organization and NOT a player or an agent. Unless of course the "inside person" shared info with a player or agent that was specifically supposed to be kept out of those channels.

There are at least two "tidbits" of info that Len Pasquarelli has/had that were not shared with ANY players or their agents by the Skins braintrust.

You are absolutely correct that Danny Boy wants to find the leaker and fire his/her ass in the most outrageous way. I hear that Gibbs is angry that the story got out and got blown up to what it became but is not out to find the "leaker" in order to hang him/her/them out to dry.
