C.Johnson won't be traded for sure, but what about Frank Gore? Anyone think this could be another blockbuster trade? I say D.Williams is gone in Car

This could probably fit in the offseason rumor thread.

We already have 3 pro-bowl runningbacks so I doubt we are looking for another. It could very well be CP on the block.

CP wouldn't qualify as a blockbuster deal. No franchise is giving up much for him because of 1) age 2) contract 3) it PORTIS.

my guess is it's either Portis or Lynch because there are new coaches at those teams. It could be Williams in CAR also because they don't have many draft picks and John Fox seems to be on the hot seat

I would assume the guy from the pat or delangelo williams. I know there was a rumor after the season ended that Deangelo wasn't going to be back to CAr and they wanted to trade him.

I think you may be right. Jonathan Stewart is still busting off 50 yard runs in the Meadowlands...

Deangelo has talent and will help out whatever team he ends up with.

Lynch is definitely on the trading block. Would be surprised to see him still a Bill by April 30

CP, Ronnie Brown, and Laurence Maroney could all also be gone for the right price but I don't believe they're actively on the trade block

i dont see why anyone would give up anything for portis or maroney. they're both obviously on the decline and running backs are a dime a dozen.

It's Lynch.

Ronnie Brown MAYBE...but doubtful. DeAngelo Williams maybe while he's still worth something.

If we consider Willis McGahee a PB RB, he'll be moved most likely, Ray Rice is their man now.

Who would trade for Portis. What franchise is that desperate? The Raiders? He's got nothing left, so i know it isnt him...

You're right. Look at Marion Barber...only 26 but beaten down like Portis, yet is in a RRBC now and they can't get more than a 5th for him. They just extended him because they can't trade him.

No more free agent RBs...lets focus on O-line

Unlike Portis, Maroney has very low mileage. He has had nagging injuries his first 3 years in the league, so he is a risk, but Maroney has far fewer carries than Portis had at a similar stage in his career.
