Re: Thomas with some strong words

I'm glad Lavar has been quiet. As a matter of fact, I would prefer everyone follow his lead. No one speak in the press until the words "Wow I can't believe we just won the Super Bowl...for the fifth straight time" come out.

I think...

Who would be shocked if LC comes to camp, shows up, works hard, and then hits for 80 catches 1250 yards and 6 TD's?? I wouldn't.

Look at the brutal start to last year for the Pats and Ty Law? Belechik like Gibbs will let cooler heads prevail.

Well I'll say it. I was all set to be a Seahawks fan, but I couldn't come to grips with that blue/green color scheme.

Kidding.

Re: Thomas with some strong words

Rabach is good news for the offense. I think Coles will have a solid year for the skins. Nobody will meet his trade demands. We need to find a solid #2 receiver.

Re: Thomas with some strong words

Big difference between the Ramsey and Coles situations is that Ramsey made some noise because he thought he was getting a legitimate shot at the starting qb spot and then we pay out the @$$ for Brunnel. Coles is just acting like a spoiled little kid cuz he's not getting his types of routes called and he didn't get enough TDs. Ramsey was and still is an unknown commodity in that we don't know with 100% certainty that he is the qb of the Redskins long term future, whereas Coles was envisioned as our possible next Art Monk or Gary Clark. I'd love to see the scenario I posted before about us sending Coles and our 1st rounder to Minnesotta for their recently aquired 1st rounder and their 2nd rounder. Or maybe Tampa Bay with that same scenario.

As far as Thomas, he is really starting to become one of my favorite redskins. It's kind of weird that 2 of my favorite players( Jansen and Thomas ) r guys who don't get the spotlight unless they mess up or get hurt.

Re: Thomas with some strong words

thomas is well known for being a big eater, sso he's gotten a lot of the spotlight for his love of shrimp and anything else you place in front of him

I really think coles with the injury is closer to a monk than a clark... great hands, not used as a burner last season though.

If he's here I fully expect him to play hard.

Gibbs has dealt with a wide range of player personalities before, if he can't smooth things over and find some sort of mutual understanding than Coles is beyond help and really needs to go.

I'm hoping they can work things out, but I think Snyder and co. are still working hard to find value for him in a trade.

As for Thomas, I like the attitude. And I dig the Rabach signing. Our line is falling into place, and we all know that if the O-line works, things will roll.

Now about our defensive FAs...
YEAH for Thomas............he's one of the few WORTHY to wear the burgundy and gold............ :headbange

As for Gibbs handling a few head cases......Let's see Dexter Manley, the tempermental Gary Clark, and let's not forget about Riggo who Gibbs visited at 9am in the morning and there was Riggo sitting on his porch drinking a beer, and Gibbs begging him to come out of his brief retirement to help the Skins win.........and he did!
