Re: Death by sauna

Man...that's painful to think about. By sauna, I was picturing the steam saunas with a door...this sounds like a hot tub accident.

I've heard of people dying by going directly from a cold pool into a hot tub...it causes trauma to your heart apparently. There are even signs up in many hotels to warn you against doing this and asking you to wait 15 minutes when switching. Also, you're not supposed to be in a hot tub for more than 30 minutes.

I think you'd be able to see the water boiling though, but man...that's brutal.

That's the part I don't get. I'd also think that you could feel the heat coming off the water, especially if it was hot enough to kill you.

Re: Death by sauna

How did the controls even allow the water to get that hot? And it was an error by one of the victims?

Because they don't have 10,000,000,000,000 laws to protect them from them self like we have in the US. They can actually buy a ladder that is not covered with one big warning lable that would take two days to read.

Lesson learned: always check the temp of a body of water before entering.
